Hey guys, i been doing some search and many people say different things about BOV for GTR R32, like the fittings or setting of the vehicle. I'm wondering so what do i get a Twin HKS SSQV or just the single. I'm getting confused! Well thank you anyone can help! :D:ermm:

LOL!

I should have said, DO NOT install the HKS SSQ BOV at all.

KEEP the stock one and do not change anything.

Only reason you upgrade your BOV is if you are running Very High boost and the standard BOV cannot handle it anymore.

When a stock BOV cannot handle anymore boost, it will start to leak but if you are running stock boost or have a slight increase you will be fine.

From memory, a standard R32 GTR BOV is good for over 300kW's same with the stock front mount intercooler.

If you want the "Choo" noise, just install twin HKS air pods for your intakes.

Cool!

I dont know yet, but i'm looking for builds that are big power but streetcars. Still looking and reading around but modding cars are confusing if i read the wrong shit. I'm still a beginner at this so i wanna research before i do anything stupid or reckless. better safe than sorry i guess! :ermm:

Basics would be a full (turbo back) 3" exhaust system.

If you got your stock air box / intake, keep it or upgrade the panel filter to a high flow one, you can upgrade to pods but you might be sucking in a bit of hot air thats all.

atleast upgrade your springs / coilovers to improve your handling or upgrade to full adjustable suspension setup, but you will sacrifice a nice smooth ride for a bumpy one.

Larger wheels / wider tyres, top quality brake pads...

I would say 250kW - 300kW+ is decent for a street R32 GTR.

Depending on how many kW's you want will determain what mods you will need.

the standard GTR set-up has 2 blow off valves. so having 2 isn't really want. that's how the factory system does it. but yes they are not a problem for decent power. there are plenty of other things to change first. if you want more bov sound out of them look at getting some pod filters and/or metal hard pipe kit. that will get you more noise out of the stock BOVs.

the HKS SSQV kit for GTR will come with 2 BOVs. as does the blitz kit. the trust kit just has one but it's the massive type R BOV.

Ah! Yes... You are correct about the 2 standard BOV's.

Thanks for that!

But my point was to keep his stock BOV's :ermm:

there is a recent issue of High Performance Iports that has the best guide to tuning GTRs. basically replace the turbos, decent exhaust, bosch 044 pump, 600cc injectors, power fc and a tune will see 300awkw easily. one of the best drop in replacement turbos i've found are gt2860s

hope this will help you out
