hey guys i recently installed a new cd player and 4 new speakers in my car, i had to run new cabling. and a sub+ amp in which i had to run new cables. i installed it all and now when i put my foot on brake the dash board lights come on lol. any idea what is causing this? i think that the glove box light is coming on also, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Not to sure on the 32's i assume you have one however,

your brake light circuit may be shorted to your illumination wire for your cd player possibly ?

hence pressing brake shorts Voltage to illumination wire and the makes dash lights come on , glove box etc ??

thats where i would be starting to look double check your wires to the head deck first

also had a fault like this in a falcon a while ago Check all your tail lamp bulbs and make sure the internal filament (wire inside globe) hasnt melted and are touching (eg replace any dodgy looking globes from tail lamps) infact check this first :cool:

cheers mate, we found out it was the globe in the tail lights, i didnt realise that the indicator globes were different to the brake lights so it was making it do that, cheers for ya help though thanks
