Gtr Turbo Replacment - What Else While I'm At It?

I have new o2 sensors and better dumps to go in but is there anything else i should replace at the same time? For example, do the manifold to head studs deteriorate with 20 years of head cycling? It it worth heat wrapping the manifolds or dumps?

they certainly do deteriorate. just replaced mine, you can get them from just jap for around 2.20 per stud (genuine nissan studs). After the abuse they see they kinda have a excuse to be old weak rusty and crusty tho!

Ive rarely heard of GTR's tearing the studs.. whilst GTS-t's seem to do it quite often.

Could be due to the 3x2 vs the 6x1 setup perhaps.

Either way, a good idea to change them while its all apart, its a bit more $$ obviously but saves you in the long run.

I honestly dont rate heat wrap on a benefit vs cost thing... im yet to see substancial evidence its a major benefit for a street car
