diggody
Help i have pretty standard r32 gtst, it was auto and changed it to auto, and put a blitz pod filter on, otherwise standard. THE PROBLEM: it stalls when slowing down or stoping like at traffic lights or somtimes just gets a really low idile and you have to rev it to get it right again. and when you put your foot down you can feel kind of like hesistation slightly jerky when acclerating, but if accelerate slowly its ok. WHAT I HAVE TRIED: i had a bad coil so i got some new ones and they tips all look ok now. stil have 5 spares got 6x new iridium spark plugs Ran injector cleaner though it and a full tank of 98 gas took the afm out and cleaned it with electrical contact cleaner. im running out of ideas? any other sensors, or boost leaks or somthing?? please give me some ideas thanks!!! abulurd
Check All your hoses on top, they go brittle and crack, may have broken hose that is being forced open under boost?... I had similar problem, wouldn't idle and kept stalling , wouldn't boost and then wouldn't even start ... was a cracked hose Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/264168-gtst-problems/#findComment-4517908 Share on other sites
abulurd
also ... why not change all the coils seem as though you bought 6 brand new ones ? seem pointless to change just 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/264168-gtst-problems/#findComment-4517913 Share on other sites
2LV8ETR
I had this issue, and for me it was the vacuum line to the fuel regulator had come off. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/264168-gtst-problems/#findComment-4518273 Share on other sites
R31Nismoid
Well the plugs certainly weren't a good idea... waste of your money mate! When you say it was an auto, and you changed it to auto... what do you mean? I reckon as above, Vac line/hose is split or something similar. diggody
sorry i mean i changed from auto to MANUAL, why werent plugs a good idea? i did a ful service on it because i brought the car off an old guy that had owned it for the last 11 years, did cambelt, oil+filter, plugs, fuel filter, saw one of the coils was prety stuffed so changed it. i got the coils on a dollar reserve auction and scored the whole set for 2 buks. so they are 2nd hand but good but rest of mine look fine I will check Vac line/hose is split today Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/264168-gtst-problems/#findComment-4518387 Share on other sites

webber
does your fuel pump cut out? if it does, do the earthing mod, mine used to do it, then i earthed it out permanently (so it runs all the time) and never had the problem again. Skylines have a circuit that reduces voltage to the fuel pump to decrease fuel pump noise at low speed/idle and being the age of the vehicles this system fails, so just as easy to earth the pump so it runs all the time. I am sure if you search it you will find an article. Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/264168-gtst-problems/#findComment-4518770 Share on other sites

Garage_Kaizen
You can always have a play with the idle adjustment screw on your AAC.. Worked for mine.. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/264168-gtst-problems/#findComment-4519468 Share on other sites
diggody
cleaned the aac valve it was prety dirty and i thought it worked but then it started doing it. i have just screwed it back anti clockwise and got a higher idle now so il see how that goes. il also try resetting ecu and doing fuel pump mod. hopfully somthing works!! thanks for all your suggestions guys Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/264168-gtst-problems/#findComment-4519825 Share on other sites
Zedar32
I had a similar problem - not quite the same, and my afm was just faulty - i had cleaned it etc and pretty much almost eliminated it as a probable cause then found a 2nd hand one swapped it over and didn't have any issues after that. r32_det
my gts-t is exactly the same mate! i managed to fix the rough idle problem, but i still get a jerk under hard acceleration, or my car just feels like it loses power about low-mid boost. would love to sort it out but i'm running out of ideas! Ultimategtr
Boost leak mate. It could also be the wrong plugs - ie too cold or too hot, or even misfiring. Reset ecu and run diagnostic. that should set you in the right track for sure.
