wanted: cat converter

i would just like to know if anyone here has a stock cat for an r33 lying aroung which they wouldnt mind selling. the reason i ask is becasue my cat wont come off from where the exhaust to the muffler is.

yeah, I got one still connected to the front pipe bit, it's been sitting in the shed for a while now. Was thinking I should sell the whole thing soon... PM me if you're interested.

hey duc where u go to get ur exhaust put in?/ are they cheap?? i need someone to put in a dump pipe and hi flow cat .. can u ask them how much that would cost??

thanks andrew, i consider my self very lucky in getting the zorst. in terms of loudness, it is damn loud but sounds very smooth and angry when driven. the exhaust was put in by my dad. so i cant recommend anyone unless you want him to do it :bahaha:

Hiep, I had my cat and dump pipe put in the other week by Profix at Klemzig and it cost $380 (that included them wrapping the dump pipe with exhaust wrap that I provided, and changing over the studs and nuts for stainless.) Expensive stuff!

i quote $400 for front/dump pipe + high flow cat at exhaust Technology for my R33.

wel the cheapest I've been quoted for a CAT was $250... so $150 for a front pipe is fairly cheap if that is including install. Mind you I'm in IT and I installed my exhaust myself, it's not really that hard as long as you have a rachet and a spanner kit

on the topic of cats, is there any beneficial gains from de-gutting (apart from flames) the cat as when i was fitting the cat i saw mesh in it, is removing that known as gutting the cat?. max, did that include install and did you pruchase it if so any good?
