Hi all

Brand new to the forum. just bought a R33 S2 and after 2 days the clutch has started to slip really badly. Picked up an xtreme HD organic a few days ago and am planning on installing it with a mate on Monday. The guy who i purchased the clutch off "auto clutch" said he highly reccomends that i get the fly wheel machined so it seats properly. i am by no means trying to lighten the flywheel, as ive read the threads on how lighting the stock flywheel can cause weakness. basically my question is how essential is it to skim the flywheel before installing a new clutch???

thanks in advanced.

Julien

Its always recommended to machine it smooth again, but if the surface is in good condition i wouldnt bother (doesnt mean you shouldnt) because getting the flywheel off is a bitch, and then you've got to drop the flywheel off blah blah..... It would be a lot harder to make a warrantee claim if you dont have a reciept for the skimming tho....
