you will need to call the adaptronic dealer in aus to get this info, we don't use adaptronics in Skylines very much.

remember that the r33 vct is different to the VVT on other cars.

You have to set it up to be off from 0 - 1200rpm, then switch it on at 1200rpm and turn it back off again where the car likes it the most, usually around 4700rpmish.

You should try and sell the ecu and buy a Vi-Pec V44 plug in, that would be your best bet.

i think ur right we have mark shead from ma developments here who has a very good relationship with ray hall so v44 plugin seems the way then i take it that will control the inlet cam as its a replacement ecu ?

Yea best to post on the forums for adaptronic, Andy or one of the boys with jump on it pretty quickly for you or even give them a call.

Have you tried the map on their site for the rb25 that someone dyno tuned?

yeh the screen shot is from that map and the cam control isnt filled in hence this thread and adaptronic seem to be helpfull but not to the extent i need ! so i take it adaptronic isnt a favourite in Australia then ?

Yes. There are a couple of tuners on here including myself who have setup the vct on rb25's with the V44 ecu so you should have no issues with setup. Ray Hall will load a map into the ecu with VCT already setup for you if you ask him, if not i can email you one.

You won't regret getting the V44, its a great ecu!

I myself am alooking at switching to a VIPEC Plugin ecu for my build, I may just run it in on the Adaptronic then bugger it off for the ViPec

are the adaptronic classed as a bad ecu then?

and does anyone know if the solenoid for the vct is just a on and off operated or is it pid controlled

i would put them in the same boat as a microtech, they work well and do the job. don't listen to what i say though, i do not know much about them.

I remember msnismo had one in her car and she removed quick smart for a Haltech
