from memory:

once off installation fee and unit cost will be ~$1600

monthly payments ~$30

are they good. the new QT unit is supposedly better than the previous.

coverage is apparently good for the sydney metro area.

is carcom still running? could be another option if it is? i believe this was an NRMA initiative...

I think alot of people on here may have quiktrak, but do not want to say anything. My mate had it installed and they told him not to tell anyone he had it, because once people know and it gets to a thief they will go looking for it when they try to steal your car.

they range in price from 1600 - 2200 depending where and when you get it done. then it is $360 a year after that to monitor.

If you want a good installer PM me and I will give you the number of someone who installs them, will come to your house if you live in Sydney.

Does Quicktrak interface ok with your existing alarm or do you have to buy one of theirs? I know they work well with Brant alarms/immobilisers and you can even buy them in a package. But I was just thinking if you have an alarm already it would be good if you could save a few bucks and keep using it. Even if it's a relatively crappy alarm/immobiliser, the tracking system should give you peace of mind.
