Max Safe Boost With Standard Rb30e Pistons

am building a fairly low budget mild rb30/26 and was wondering what experiences or opinions people had on safe boost levels for standard rb30e pistons, i would like to see around .75 to 1 bar. thank you.

All depends what turbo your using as to how much boost you could run, 2 bar with a GT45 is obviously going to be different to 2 bar with a TD05.

600-700hp at around 7000rpm can be reliable if its setup and tuned correctly but we have had one customer with a GT42 with C16 run 1.8 bar for quite some time (around 850hp) then wind it up to 2 bar where it cracked a ring land on 1 piston only, he's unsure why.

Another thing to consider would be the compression ratio ie head gasket thickness. The thick gaskets will drop compression, allow more boost but less response...
