Hi everyone as i said i have searched but the screens i have seen a different to mine.

I brought a jvc dvd head unit recently and would like to know if i can connect it to my factory screen or if i have to buy an aftermarket one.

My screen flips out and is not embeded in to the dash

Cheers

As long as there are A/V inputs on the screen already in your dash, I can't see why it wouldn't work. Just connect the A/V outputs on the DVD head unit to the inputs on the screen and it should be fine, as long as it is being transmitted by the DVD player in a format the screen can create an image from (ie if it's an NTSC screen, the DVD will need to be outputting its video signal in NTSC as well).

its a Nissan option, have you checked the usual areas for any AV input. back of unit etc ? does it have an AV input in any of the menu buttons ? if not, then you might be able to use it as a tray table for your maccas.

After installing the unit today i have seen an av input and the player can play pal and ntsc but there is nothing coming up on the TV screen.

here is the unit i brought

Yere i have found that still no luck i dunno looks like im going to buy an aftermarket screen for it

of all the Stagea's i've seen, i've never seen that screen either.... although, if its a similar setup with the TV tuner - it will be in your left rear guard ontop of your back left wheel, and here you will find the AV input..... thats how I setup my one with a JVC DivX/DVD player.... works a treat!!
