Rb25 Motor Using Rb20 Box

hi just wanting to know who out there is using a rb20 gearbox behind an rb25

how much power do you have? what kind of clutch do you use and how long has it lasted.

does anyone do track/drift and how did it hold up then?

Im looking at getting around the 220 - 230atkw with the upgrades that im doing and just needed some more info on how the box will hold up.

Got max of 236rwkw in front of my RB20DET box. I go drifting and 2nd gear syncro is getting worn. I have to change gears slowly now until i change the syncro's.

I figure, I can break three RB20DET boxes before it costs me 1 RB25DET box.

ive had 250-260rwkw from the RB25DET w/RB20DET gearbox for about 1.5-2 years, treated pretty rough, still feels pretty strong.

as stinkypoo says 3 RB20 box's for one 25 box.

the different mounts, speedo drive, tailshafts and possibly installation would probably add up around a grand aswell. so more like 5 RB20 box's in the end.

cos thats the path im going down with my 180 and wanted to keep within a budget.

drifting and track will be the least thing i do so hopefully this should last me a while.
