Over the easter break I got pulled over for a "random breath test". I pulled up at a stop sign and waited for a few seconds then pulled of noticing an unmarked police car on the corner. I assume he told the police around the corner to pull me over for a "RBT". He said to me you know the reason for me pulling you over is for a "RBT" I said yes that's fine I've been driving trucks all day so haven't had anything to drink. Gave him my licence then he gave me a smug look and asked. How many points do you have on your licence ? I replied all of them. He then gave me a curious look and looked at my rear tyres and along the side of the car and at my registration. All of which was up to date and legal apart from the side that just holds the car together. He then looked at me again and asked are you sure sir ? I replied yes I havent had any fines what so ever and I have been driving this car for nearly two years. He gave me that dissapointed look and then called over one of his lackies to administor the "RBT". I got a 0.0 reading and left. He then followed me for the remainding twenty minute drive to my house.

To which I gave him a polite wave as I pulled into my driveway.

I felt rather insulted that because I drive a skyline that the stigma is we are all hoons. Then I laughed because I'm not and he got it wrong. :P

OMG didn't know there was a thread about this hehe I've got some interesting stories.

First time:

I got pulled over and was in my old car (s2000), was me and my girlie in the car then we saw this police do a U-turn and speed up to our ass, was following me for a good old half and hour or so. Decided to pull into back streets (so did he) ended up switching on his lights and siren and pulling me over. Came to the window asking license and that, he looked at it then asked where me and my friend was heading too, did not even run my license check and handed it back and said have a good night.

Second time:

Was straight after heading for a swim so cruised in the rx7 on the coastal road near scarbs, had a undercover follow me until we nearly got to Hillarys, pulled me over and me and my friend both in our bikinis were thinking WTF!?, ended up getting license checked, breathalized, my friend got winked by one of the officers, then he said pop the hood and said he could give me a yellow licky for alot of the parts (which was all stock) but he'd let me go since he was feeling generous.

Third time:

At Scarbs and my car lost abit of traction at a turn, parked my car and me and my friend got out, and this police pulls up, screaming out the window she was saying she saw that so called "burnout" and could arrest me and my friend, I was in complete shock but then she drove off, the other officer in the passenger seat gave us a thumbs up as they drove off?? was really wierd, had me confused for the rest of the day.

wow feels so good to get that out keke :P

hopefully no more police dramas for me *fingers crossed*

basic summary

had undercover cops come screaming up then cut off car behind me almost cleaning him up turn a corner then pull me up,

"i heard ur bov from 5 cars back" "bovs are illegal", i was fairly amazed how could hear my bov when i had driven about 10meters and off boost.

opens bonnet, now that bov there is illegal -pointing to a breather on my oil catch can blah blah blah then he goes on to say how he used to own a GTR himself a "GodZZZZZiler"-(direct quote) said several other rediculous statements, i wonder if he actually thinks i believed a single word of the bs he was on about.

I was pulled over last night but lucky they were very cool cops.

I was picking up some mates from a party at 2am and was on my way back, and was being tailgated by a car with highbeams on. One of my mates in the back turns round and gives him the finger and starts swearing at the car, and sure enough its a marked cop car. He didnt put his lights on but I pulled over anyways and so did he. The cop politely asks my mate in the back why he gave him the rude finger whilst shining his torch on a big bottle of unopened vodka. He then shines the torch on me, while Im wearing my blue flanelette pyjamas and a sombrero and the car is reeking of alcohol. He smirks at me and asked me a few questions like where have you been etc etc, then told me they were looking for kids vandalising stuff in the neighbourhood and let me off. No breathalyzer test, didn't ask for my license which I had left at home, and didnt check the car for defects. Needless to say I was pretty relieved and thought I would get alot worse treatment then that

Hey get this, a couple of weeks ago I was heading home from work north along stock road (I work on the Kwinana strip), my boss was in front of me in a Commodore (lease car), we were both doing about 90ish in a 80 zone, no other cars on the road, he was pulling away from me when I saw the cop with his speed gun, he waved my boss in then waved me in, went up to my boss and told him to be on his way as he was after the skyline. Cop came over to me and went through the usual, give us your license etc, he let me off with a warning, thankfully!

But can you imagine the next morning,,...went straight to my bosses office and said "Yeah pick on the Skyline driver!!!"

i was going along archer st carlisle tonight working when i saw cops waiting to turn left onto the st. there were railway tracks ahead so i slowed to 40 coz my exhaust is clunking and shit atm and didnt want them to see so i go along a bit further when the lights go on. i pull over thinking shit am i gonna get a yellow coz exhaust and a small hole either side of car where indicators are meant to be (i do have working ones a bit closer to frotn) anyhoo they check my license then breathalyze me they ask if its my car and im like yeah just brought it last week transferred it yesterday there like ok thats cool. then my mum says as we're leaving that theres a film crew filming us to the left of my car. i thought typical target the potential 'hoon' in the import. wonder if its for the force or today tonight crap, well at least they got nothing from me :(

LOL film crews :D

Was probably TT or ACA.. if it was The Force, wouldn't they have to get you to sign something?

well thats what i thought too

wouldn't they need to get something signed for TT or ACA too being that i was just driving along and 'randomly' get pulled over by the cops when i was doing nothing wrong and they just film us without our permission

I got a couple...

1 - Got pulled over in Northbridge, breatho'd and blew a number exteeeeemly close to illegal. The Senior Constable asks where I am off to then escorts me all the way to my mates place in Rivervale.

2 - Back in the day, when I was on P's, knocked off work at a restaraunt in Mandurah. Between town and home (6 minute drive on the speed limit with green lights, I was pulled over 4 times by different cops. Nothing happened.

3 - Driving home from the airport, had a drink with the boys at the pub then proceeded down the freeway towards mandurah. Between Rocko and Mandurah got lit up with the old red and blue. Pulled over and had the usual questions, answered all truthfully and spoke respectfully. Ended up with the cops telling me my tail light was broken, rims were illegal as were my steering wheel and pedals. They let me off and wished me a safe drive home. Lucky I wasnt in the 33 at the time.

Lastly, doing 5 km over in my work car (mine spec toyota hilux 10,000km on the clock) got pulled over and fined $50. I was in the middle of nowhere and hadnt seen a car for an hour. I dont get it sometimes, but I dont complain either.

Blinky

The other week I got pulled over in freo for a "random" breath test. The cops were looking around my car and asked me to rev the engine as they suspected my exhaust was illegal (lol). Then they said my tyre tread looked pretty low... I had just got 4 brand new tyres 2 hours ago and still had the receipt in the car. After that embarrassment they left straight away. They seriously need to take a basic mechanics course if they are supposed to judge whether a car is roadworthy / has illegal modifications. I wished there was a film crew there!

I am going to add a "what havn't you been pulled over for" which happened to me yesterday night.

I am poor and need moneys desperately so last night when my mate rang at about 1am and asked for a lift home from a party for $80 I accepted. Anywho I get there and it turns out the catch is there is 7 people that need a lift, I managed to fit 2 in the front, 4 in the back and 1 in the boot and was carefully driving back home in my r33, p plates up that is practically scraping along the ground. Next to me was a daewoo lanos driving sensibly at 10kmph below the limit (same speed as me) and behind is a VE commodore. I was praying that it wasn't an undercover car when on came the blue and red lights. I was pulling over then noticed he was actually pursuing the daewoo lol. He definately would have known I was exceeding the passenger limit as well so Im not sure why he pulled over the daewoo instead of me

Pulled over, cop told me to turn off the engine so he could inspect the car (all the usual stuff: ride height, engine, tyres, etc). At this point would be important to mention my alarm arms itself after 1 min. Ok so his checking around, sticks his head in the engine bay and fiddles round. Well he must have tugged on something quite hard coz the alarm went off and he hit his head on the underside of the bonnet. He was very pissed off.

After a stern lecture he sent me on my way.

Thats the weirdest one i can think of, all other have been the usual breath-tests, drug searching, speeding kind.
