my na 33 does it. i love it. i love hearing it on the overrun in 2nd gear just crackle away.

Its completely normal, its jsut unburnt fuel spitting out the exhaust hitting it and igniting giving a little pop as t comes out. Computer and tune should fix it, other than that mine does it and my cars tuned etc so... some people like it some people dont, me personally i dont mind it.

Mine does the same since having done the conversion... prior to it didn't exist, though I wasn't running any performance modifications (besides panel filter).

I didn't like it at first, now I don't mind and quite like it. In regards to tuning, I have to agree somewhat as mine was crackling and backfiring a lot more before I had the car further tuned as I felt it was running very rich.

best example of that is on the v8 super cars. especially when they accelerate and change up gears
