All the R31 Rb30's have the oil and water fitting holes as well.

theyre exactly the same engine? cant see why you wouldnt be able to use them?

Iv got a new set of hypatec liquid forged pistons for a rb30 turbo that you can have cheap if you want them, I was going to rebuild my 31 a long time ago but thats not going to happen any time soon. Cant find what they are worth, maybe someone else knows.

This isn't quite true!

I used an R31 RB30 for my 30det and when it came to the extra pulley on the block the surface wasn't flat (machined finish) like on the series 2 VL block, its not that bigger deal but if you can get the series 2 VL block that is the block i'd get.
