Terry Ashwood has been most kind in calling me a minute ago.

He said that Mark has been over in NZ with Super8s commitments and will probably sign the Award Certificates and send them off to me tomorrow!

Much Appreciated Terry! :)

Much appreciated Mark! ;)

BAD NEWS! The Award Certificates for each category are still with Mark due to his commitments in NZ and then Sydney.

GOOD NEWS! After each Prizewinner receives a Replica Certificate, he/she should keep it till next week; and then TRADE IT IN for the one with Mark Skaife's signature!!!

HINT! HINT!

The prevailing wind over the Mtns last night was a westerly. It dumped fine dust over our cars parked outside.

If this continues, and you're gunning for a SHOW N SHINE award, can I recommend that you park your freshly washed/polished car under cover to-night???

Cheers, T

Update: We are in the process of having these Award Certificates signed by none other than Mr Mark Skaife!

All the more incentive to have your cars looking extra 'fly' on the day, to win a prize and an autographed certificate!

Many Many Thanks from us Organisers to

a) Terry Ashwood famous from Group A & Fred Gibson Motorsport who acted as a link/cog for us as we wrestled with profile and

b) Mark Skaife for being such a gracious and willing signatory to Award Certificates that'll be highly valued over time as a companion to both the Prizewinning Cars and the Owners

Regards,

Terry Tung-Yep & Eugene Chan Hosts

Many :) from us Organisers to Skylines Australia and the Administration for being the perfect medium through which we could promote such an Event as this - the grand success of which would not have been possible any other way!

We hope that whilst 5 of the 12 Prizewinners were from workshops, there'll be more SAUers and better still, Members joining up in due course!

We promoted SAU every way we could, including the Daily Telegraph.

Looking forward to Anniversary Events in 2010!

Terry & Eugene

Many :) to mxfly (ie Eugene)

for not just coming up with the whole idea of "Why don't we.."

but also for his generosity to furnish prizes like

NISMO Jacket for the 1st Prizewinner

NISMO Shirts

RAYS Catalogues (Limited editions in English)

Is there a 'Magnificent Seven' sequel to this? Haha Tez

Many :P to Jason Round from High Performance Imports!

He became our earliest sponsor for this great event.

He offered HPI Magazines for the Prizewinners.

He gave Roger the responsibility with his superb camera equipment and experience to match;

so that when the High Performance Imports Magazine comes out in a couple of months time, we can gloat, we can gasp &

we can be proud of the mean stance of all the R34s on their 10th Birthday. Had I have had time to vote, I wouldn't have been able to pick between many of those machines. Due credit to all who voted! Democracy won through I'm sure.

He felt that it was important enough to carry out shooting at the International Regatta Centre at the Start

as well as taking those all important shots at the destination at Mt Wilson with Japanese lady, Japanese Swordsmen and

in glorious autumn hues/colours!

The Organisers salute you!

Many  to 2rismo (ie Adrian from Boost Magazine and Administrator of SAU).

Boost Magazine is also one of the Sponsors on the Award Certificates presented and signed by Mark Skaife.

In particular, whilst The Avenue at Mt Wilson was abuzz, one could see Adrian organising along with Roger the photographer, which aspects would best portray the R34s in their best light ! ! ! Glorious Autumn Photographs ! ! !

Whilst Bakes' car was posed in the middle of The Avenue with a 'Guard Of Honour' hovering over it, Adrian was busy busy busy.

We can't wait for the Magazine Adrian! Impatience gets the better of me!

Many  go to Kyoshi Hans and Sensei Dave

www.japaneseswordsmanship.com.au for being honoured guests at our Event. They served us and made us proud of them & the R34s!

Dave knew about Skylines Australia being a thriving forum.

Kyoshi Hans already has pics of our event up on his website > so have a look! Swords look mean!

Wonderful photographs by Roger will appear in both High Performance Imports and Boost Magazines in coming months, of our guests hovering over R34s with swords drawn!

Cheers, from myself, Eugene (mxfly), Shanil (SHANE666), Matt (God_speed), Nicholas (Black_Widow), Shehan (llankanboi), Raf (pbk1776)

Many :D to Yuka-san for coming along to the Start at the Sydney International Regatta Centre - Penrith,

as well as the Destination at Mt Wilson!

All the more creditable was, that on a windy & cold day, you would also bring your baby Sean (only a few weeks old) and other son Kai!

A couple of shots of you were taken at the Start by Stan (aka satanic) and Geoff. I haven't seen those yet.

But I can't wait to see how you look in 'Yukata' dress next to those mean R34 GT-Rs when those magazines come out! Very CLASSY!

Most people don't know that you used to work in Japan for WORK WHEELS JAPAN - Work Meister, Work Equip etc and that they (back then), had a Nissan R33 GT-R as their Flagship :)

Many Thanks from Eugene and myself on behalf of those lucky guys that had you take pics next to their cars on the day!

Many :D go to Daily Telegraph Motoring Editor Kevin Hepworth

and also Daily Telegraph photographer Bob Barker

for helping to promote this Event in the paper as a 'Cover Story' on 17th April!

You did a great job promoting Skylines Australia as being a medium for Stageas & V35s as well as Skylines.

And thanks for putting drivers of these cars in a 'good light' when an Event like this is organised with enthusiasts in mind!

Eugene and myself!

Many :P go to NISSAN MOTOR CO. (AUSTRALIA) P/L

and in particular Market'g Rep. Mngr Chris Reely for supplying the 2 metre NISSAN SIGN for the Start of this Event

It certainly helped with the 'Atmosphere' of this occasion! :D

Regards, Eugene and myself. Eugene had to pick it up and take it back... weight = a ton!

Many :P go to Andrew Hawkins from JET-MULTIMEDIA and his Shooter for recording...

A Commercial Vid of the day's events including the Start.

Due for Release on a special GT-R DVD in September, we all trust that Vid sells well for them and also brings our beloved GT-Rs, GTs into many lounge rooms.

Thanks for your time guys and may this Vid bring the rewards you deserve to www.jetmultimedia.com.au

Cheers from Nick (who you've been in contact with) + Eugene, Matt, Shanil, Shehan, Raf and myself.

Many :P go to Universal Studios

...for supplying 'Fast & Furious' T-shirts and Singlets and Movie Passes as prizes to

a few Award Winners on the day. This all coincided with the launch of the 'Fast & Furious' film that came out;

so their Promo material came in handy.

And :( to one of our Organisers Nick (Black_Widow) for liaising with them throughout.

Eugene & myself.
