ECR33 RB25det variable timing?

i haven't really searched "far and wide" for this, so i'm getting lazy and asking on here instead :-) does the R33 version of the RB25det have variable valve timing on either inlet or exhaust side? i know the Neo does...... but i'm just curious about the R33, more specifically the series 1. anybody?

hah, good news then :-) any way of diagnosing it? i.e. if the solenoids are rooted?

You could disconnect it (unplug). If it isnt doing anything, you wont notice a difference when you drive:)

...... haha i was thinking something a little more professional. do you know where the control solenoids for the variable timing are? or are there ECU diag codes for it?
