I have a R33 Skyline RB25detS2 with a Tisonics Alarm/Turbo Timer. The alarm arms with the remote and stays armed fine. When i try to disarm with the remote i get a a beeping sound of 4 very short beeps within 1 second. If i keep pressing the remote, sometime i get lucky and it disarms or sets of its panic mode function (siren). The only way i have found to disarm it is to unlock the door with the key, open the door which sets off the siren and then i am able to disarm it with the remote. I have changed the batterys in the remote thinking that could fix it but hasnt resolved the problem.

I went down to Tisonics workshop on tuesday, After they come out and had a look at the problem, for no less then 2 minutes trying to find it, there answer was " I dont know whats wrong with it, will just put a new one in"

With a price tag of $400 but they were looking after me they said!

Any way if you have any ideas where i could start looking or an answer how to fix it or had a similar problem let us know

Thanks Ben

hey was just checking this site http://www.mrtrally.com.au/performance/tisonics01.htm

it says "you may need to reset the micro-controller and start afresh once more. To reboot or reset the micro-controller simply plug your override connection in for a couple of seconds. You will not have to change any of your previous settings as they are permanently stored in a separate memory/RAM location. Always remember that after you have reset your micro-controller - the TT alarm will return to its last state ie. if the alarm was armed at the time of reset/reboot it will return to the alarm armed state."

Maybe u shud try rebooting and see if it Helps.

vish check your drivers side actuator, its possible it has failed, remove your door trim and get a test light onto the trigger leads and try locking and unlocking the car with the remote and see if the motor is actually getting power,if it is then the actuator is stuffed and needs replacing.

WEPEN: With the experiences iv had with other tisonics alarms thos 4 short chirps within a seccond generally happen when a door or something is left open and you try to arm the alarm, it will coninuiously sound thos 4 short chirps every seccond until you ether disarm it or close the door. I have never herd of it happening when your trying to disarm it tho.

Hey Jack, sorry took a while replyin.. forgot i wrote in here.

ok what i noticed is that it works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt.

if it doesnt work and i play with the lock manually and then try pressin the button on the remote it works fine.

sometime it makes a funny sound like somethin is stopping it from moving. and hte lock gets stuck and doesnt move on one side. i have to move it to the side it can move and then back the other side for it to be free again and then even the remote works till i come back to the car later to go somewhere and its back to where it is. not responding.

the alarm is a cyclops

its pissin me off
