I've got my exhaust heat wrapped from the mid-joint back to rear mufflers. Hopefully that stops radiated heat getting to the tranny. The main reason, though, is to reduce in-cabin temps. However, I've noticed that my tranny oil temps sit around 86deg C on a spirited country drive, utilizing 4,5 and 6th gears. A friend's R35 on the same trip recorded Tranny temps around 90 Deg C ( with no exhaust wrap). Of course, this comparison is highly unscientific, but is interesting.

Outside temp was 14 degrees.

What are you guys recording?

Anyone tried the Willall tran fluid and recorded a significantly lower temp?

Absolutely incorrect. Newton described the three laws from which todays classical mechanics are based. The law of conservation of energy is generally accredited to Noether some 250 years later in the early 20th century.
