Hey guys, looking at getting an exaust for my R34gtr vspec2 nur, i am leaning towards "Blitz Nur Spec" 3inch from turbo back.

I had the same exaust on my old skyline and loved the note, and how loud it is, "my mrs hates it though" lol.

Just want your oppinions and where is the best place to get it from.

Thanks

Racepace 3.5" Custom GTR. Not cheap, but worth it. Simple as that.

Quiet and flow is king

haha thats what my mrs says. I like it loud, tells the person next to me to watch out, lol. Just love the echoing noise in tunnels and the constant hum, e.t.c...

youll defiantly want to go titanium then, defiantly the loudest exhausts there is, or straight pipe stainless steel.

still comes down to how much money you have....let us know and we'll better answer you

BLITZ Nur Spec exhaust a bloody loud tho.

I have a Nur Spec cat back and it roars on take off drones while cruising and even on idle, I remember its rumbles.

I took it off and got the stock cat back till I find something will good flow and not so loud.

Try a Nismo Weldina, Kakimoto, Ganadon (like what Alex has on his Nur) or a HKS Hi Power Silent exhaust and see how you go.

Or do what Ash said.

Racepace would be my personal choice. Just took off my Blitz Nur Spec off my rb20 r32 - way too loud gave me the shits, you get all the wrong attention. My old, subtle yet high-flowing exhaust makes me smile more. Let the velocity do the talking

    • https://dsportmag.com/the-tech/education/engine-tech-material-hardness-testing/ The PRP testing on block hardness I'm not sure how much it actually can be trusted. The thinner cylinder walls on RBs is a bit of a problem vs 2JZ but it really depends on the design goal. Siamesed cylinder bores like a 2JZ cause uneven cylinder wall temps too, which means a bit of distortion induced by that + the hotspot can affect knock margin. Something that actually gives me a bit of pause with the PRP block, whether super thick cylinder walls are going to keep it from being drop-in compatible on an otherwise OEM rebuild.
    • Yeah very valid point. I am waiting for one of the other tuners to come back from vacation so he can help me a bit when the cat is installed again. In the meantime I am going to finish up my polishing and ceramic coating that I have started myself.    N45 Dr Beasley product is highly recommended for a paint primer / polisher. Using this EXO Gtechniq also for the ceramic but next time might use the light serum before hand also. Looks great.
    • Running rich in conditions where it shouldn't probably won't do great things for catalytic converter lifespan. I would fix that sooner than later.
    • Yes, important point. Watch the Motive videos with Herman thickness testing the bores and deck. You do not want to push the unlucky (thin) block as hard as you can push the average block.
    • Make sure to have the block checked for cracking etc before doing anything.
