Insurance while Car is being Complied ?

I just Rang SunCorp - They won't insure my car whilst it is being complied. They will insure it when it is registered tho - (oviously)

Anyone know who would insure whilst gettting complied - OR do I just have to wear the risk (not happy jan)

um, before my car was registered I had a covernote for it. That lasted a month, and before it ran out I just let them know my rego & other details.

That was with CGU and not suncorp tho.. so it could be different.

i dont think any insurance company will insure a car whilst undertaking compliance, however they should provide a covernote if your on the way of registering.

they actually said they wont provide insurance until it is registered, but they did not mention a covernote.

check your compliance shop is covering your car, in most cases it should be...

The same thing happened for my GTR when it arrived. In the end the insurance brokers helped me fudge it a bit with the company that was going to provide the insurance once regisitered. As I was driving the car to workshops etc. on temporary reg.'s the broker gave the insurance company the number of the first temp. reg. and then I just got them to change it when the car got registered.
