Hey All!

Have just saved up the cash to finally do the conversion on my N/A R34 and whack a turbo on it.

I know there are threads already open on this topic, but i want the South Aussie opinions on the cost of parts, where to get them, places to get it done and other general info that will help me along the way.

I've called Boostworx like 4 times and they still havent gotten back to me regarding part costs and labour charges.

So if i can get some figures together and work around that then my faith will be restored in the idea of doing this!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Sorry mate, it is a shocking idea. Sell the car and buy a GTT. The costs you come across to do the whole package are staggering, and you will NEVER get it engineered and through Regency.

There is a very simple reason why almost no-one does it - the lengths you need to go to to do it is simply nonviable (have you thought about the need to change your rotors/calipers/brakes, transmission {which is not built to take the power} and your diff {also not built to take the power}).

Agreed. Cut your losses, sell the N/A and just buy a turbo one that came like it from factory, you might even get some goodies on it  By the time you spend the cash to make it all legal it will end up costing you a LOT more than you had originally allowed for

I don't know what the compression is on the N/A engine, but it might be too high to just bolt a turbo on, without having to open up the engine and bring down the compression (change the pistons etc.) not cheap labour wise anyway.. labour is going to be as high, maybe even higher thanthe cost of the parts put together. I think in the end it's cheaper to just sell the current car and get a GT-T

Nah that was just pretty much a quote for the turbo kit and labour. Its the engineering that really has me worried. i get pulled over enough as it is down my way so it just seems pointless for me to go ahead with the conversion.

If anyone is selling a nice stagea....PM ME!
