Hi,

Tried to bleed my brakes this afternoon, brake fluid was really dark so its about time.

Took the rear left wheel off, attached a hose to the bleed nipple (using a pump to suck the fluid out) but i got stuck there.

Previous cars i've bled have a nut on the bottom of the nipple, and you loosen it and off you go. I tried to undo it on mine, but couldn't get it to budge.

It this the same as how you'd do it on a GTR?

Also, I did remove some fluid from the reservoir, didn't remove all of it but just wanted to check that it should be ok? Ie no air in the system

Cheers

yes mate it is exactly the same. You need to put a spanner over the nut to undo the nipple to bleed it.

Often they are very tight if they haven't been done for a while, so spray some penetrating oil (on all of them) or wd40 whatever, leave for a while then give it a go.

You do not want to round off that nut or snap the nipple because you will be in a world of pain.

If its all looking too hard....outsource to a mechanic and make it their headache
