Taking Turbo Off

hey

before i take my oil lines off do i then need to drain the car for oil, or can i just take them off. and the water lines do i just take them off to, becourse i have just tried to take the water lines off but there started to come water out, so what do i do.

Hey mate, ive taken my turbo of many times, When you do this its better to drain your oil and radiator in a bucket or so, or you could try n just block the water lines with like a little clotch, as the oil from mine when i was taking of the turbo the oil didnt come out that much.... btw it was for a r33 rb25det , yours is a rb20 .

what if i just take the radiator hoses of and then the water lines, well that help. and did you have your car on jacks, becourse i cant do that were i am.

i did them on car jacks, There will still be water inside your engine... unless you do a proper flush.

just change your oil and coolant at the same time

you should be sweet cos no oil came out when we did mine and there was only a little bit of coolent come out like a ltr

got to do mine very shortly, everything off around the turbo bar manifold/dump.

oil around the compressor housing front/bottom area and underneath this front housing, blown oil seal I think.

I did mine in my back yard. I just took everything off and let it fall. taped off all the openings until its time to put it all back together. ill be flushing the coolant system and adding the necessary oil.
