Hi,

Im needing to clean mine and ive read about different ideas/ways on how to clean your AFM.

But ive also talkd to some people saying if you use certain types of liquid or cleaner to clean it you can stuff it up since its fragile?

I dont really wana try anything untill i guess i know a bit more.

If you had any experience with this can u please write back :D

thanks

brendan

i used metho and water on mine it works better now. everyone is going to suggest exactly the same as previously suggested. SO if someone has suggested something and it works afterwards id say your safe. mine still works and it runs alot nicer then before. although i did it a long time ago.

The ideal solution is Electronic cleaning solvent - used to clean potentiometers and the like. Buy it at Dick Smith or Jaycar. Some have suggested using brake cleaner - I wouldn't as it's highly caustic & AFM's are very sensitive. The Jaycar part # is NA-1004.

Hope this helps
