What if Collingwood had kicked straight aswell (23 shots to 24) crows way, so one goal difference.

The reason why the were so excited is because that was season defying game for Collingwood as it has most likely cemented a top 4 spot, with Richmond Sydney and the Bulldogs to come in the next few weeks. And as we know to be anywhere in the hunt for the flag you really need that second chance, even though the saints will win, but finals are a different to the proper season. Yes i am collingwood support and a very proud one after this weekend.

What a bad week for tipping i reckon i got 3 maybe 4 right.

my youngest had his footy carnival yesterday for club....finally got his screamer that he's been dying to take...mind you we bribed him with $5 a pop...so we owe him $10 ....the team finally got a couple of wins under their belt but missed out on the finals by 10%....see what happens next season..my eldest's carnival is next sunday so hopefully theyll get some score on the board too

Was definetly good to see Freo "can" play well sometimes....was even better they did it against one of my favourite teams...Port...haha

Yeah Freo did play well, but Port was woeful, even their coach is saying they don't deserve to be in the top 8!

yeah very true, but I think while you have a chance of making the 8 you should never quit making that your ultimate goal............ask Richmond how sick of number 9 they are.

Footy is all about list management (i.e. injuries leading up to finals) and peaking at the correct time of the year.

Look at the Cats......everyone is saying that they are coasting along to prevent injury before the finals and if that is correct, then good on them, but I actually think that they peaked too early in the year.......and not having a decent forward line is going to hurt them in September.

On the other hand there are 2 teams that if they can keep injuries under control, are not only peaking at the right time but are strong all over the ground and even though one of them have absolutely choked in finals over the last 5 years, will do very well in September and could even face each other on the last day..............those teams are Collingwood (and as much as this hurts to say) COWS!!!

Have to agree with that theory Pete, i beleive Geelong are in alot of trouble but still you'd still be a brave man to write them off...Port are done and dusted you can't be 47 points up and loose.

Be interesting to see if the saints first loss for the year last weekend will inspire us or not might give them back that edge
