yeah I don't ever recall having seen a game where they didn't look threatening for even a minute.....regardless of the scoreboard, even the 2007 grand final had very short bursts of promising play....hope I never see that again, lol

yep.

Went to the grand final. that was a joke too. Still had a good night. Wasnt going home to cry. Went to the crown cas.

I cant believe some supporters tho. 'Just kick it' ' just bomb it' ? bomb it to who ? no one is leading ? People who havent played the game themselves have no idea sometimes.

'take him off' ? yeah like you could do better you fat pig.

Really really annoying.

yeah a bit like the time Danny Pierce had the ball on the outer wing then looked up to pass before freezing cause there's nobody home (no one anywhere 50)........wannabe players kept ringing KG & Cornes all week wanting the kid strung up by the goolies. If they were at the game, they wouyld've symathized with the kid hence why Wazza & Motz tend to stay closer to the square these days.

Like most sports there is always the armchair experts, who realistically know sweet FA! Then there's the ones who take every word a commentator has to say as gospel even though they might be biased because of their nationality or it's simply their team or national side playing..... Occasionally though there are some callers who know what they're on about and aren't one eyed....

no real surprises there Ben.

In my mind, St Kilda are clearly the in-form team of the comp at present but the Cats are still the team to beat and IMO are the best still.......I still believe they were the best team last year even though the Hawks got the flag......bit like us in 2002 & 2003 but choked in the finals.

this crows vs melb game is funny as

melb only had 2 points on the board at half time... nearly 3/4 time and the scores are melb 12 to adelaide 37.... sad thing is melb are doing some decent football in spots but they just keep screwing up their kicks at goal

If the D's put as much intensity in their 1st half as they showed in the 2nd half, they'd be a much better side and would even threaten some better teams in the comp

I'm sure it's laziness, which is what we suffer from IMO

I don't know about being lazy. I think the power play well when confident.

When they RUN the ball and lead they are great. once the confidence drops no one leads. who are they going to kick to ?

They weren't chasing or leading on the weekend.

I'm worried teams have picked this up and will continue to smother and apply absolute pressure.

When we played the Hawks it was an open field. Skills one the game. precise kicking etc.

Pressure football is a lot different

see that's the problem.

Crows at least give you hope when the chips are down with their work rate.....even if it means bottling the game up they don't stop working. If you were paid to a specific job and you showed up for work then didn't fullfill your obligations, you would eventually find yourself on the dole queue.

When we're under the pump lately, we don't man up, we're 2nd to the ball, we don't try to spread out once we gain possesion, we stop running and what's with the record reports this year?? (one every game!)

Me thinks after the players & coach review the video this week, all players will work much harder in next week's Showdown...........I hope :)

Yes we are the in form team for now, be interesting to see if we can keep it up...Geelong are the most consistent in the league atm just doing enough to keep winning games...Though if G.Ablett keeps getting 40+ possessions a game then they don't really need to do much lol!!

I agree as well, Geelong were the best team of last year only thing that lost them the GF was poor kicking. I think its going to be a low win ratio to make the final 8 this year as well (like low teens maybe??) as it stands now the bottom 8 are only a game out of the top 8 anyways so its pretty damn close really

Yer Brogan the bogan proved that on friday night after he was reported, wasn't interested in getting the ball only trying for free kick (Lenny Hays incident for one)

    • Surely the merged entity will be called "Honda" given the relative company values. I've got to be honest, I don't understand how merging 2 companies that missed EVs (despite Nissan making the first mass produced one) will solve their problems
    • If you haven't bought the ECU yet, I would strongly consider buying a modern ECU. Yes it is very easy to setup and tune, however it is lacking many of the features of a modern ECU. The pro plug in is something like 10 or 12 years old now? Can't remember exactly but it is very dated now. In that time the Elite was released and now we have the Nexus platform.  I would strongly consider not buying the ECU that is 3 generations old now (especially as it isn't a cheap ECU!).
    • Im happy for it as long as it means reanult gets the boot
    • Sorry I should have been more clear with the previous post.  The block is a sanding block - picture something like this https://motorguard.com/product/motor-guard-bgr161-bgr16-1-rigid-psa-sanding-block-2-5-8-x-16/ The guide coat is the paint It's two separate things I was talking about, there is no "block guide coat".
    • Maybe more accurately, you aren't just dulling the existing paint, you are giving the new paint something to 'grab on to'. By sanding the existing paint, you're creating a bunch of pores for the new paint to hook on to.  You can lay new paint over existing paint without sanding it, might last a year or two then sad times. The paint will peal/flake off in huge chunks. By sanding it, the new paint is able to hang onto it and won't flake off.  Depends on the primer you are using. When you buy your paint, as the paint supplier what grit of sand paper to use before you lay down the primer.  Use whatever you like as a guide coat. Pick a colour that really stands out in contrast to the paint. So say your sanding/painting a currently white car, using a black guide coat would work well. You very lightly lay the black guide coat down, then as you sand the car with the large block, all the high spots and low spots will stand out as the black paint is sanded off (or isn't sanded off).  When you buy your paint, hit up your supplier for recommendations for what paint to use for a guide coat if you're unsure what would work well with your setup.
