Snagged $100 from footy bets over the weekend. $72 from St Kilda HT/FT, Essendon to win, Hawthorn HT/FT and Adelaide to win, (all in a multi), and coz i signed up to the site i got a $100 free bet, put it on Geelong HT/FT, so i receive the profits from my winnings., $23. If Bulldogs had have won, would have snagged ANOTHER $150. Dang!

jeez not a bad effort there Damo!

port and the crows definitely got some work to do... ill be heading to the showdown this sat, lets hope for some better weather too!

the Demons are in such bad form, couldnt believe what i was seeing last night... such sloppy football, reminded me of watching a local C grade team's gameplay. They could have easily bitten back in the last quarter too, missed some absolute sitters!

considering both teams form last week, the showdown could go in any direction, its gonna be a helluva game!

Agreed man, I've definately got to check this one out. As much as I love to bag port, they do win most showdowns and after last weeks debacle theyre going to be trying extra hard

Really can't see North getting up. Harvey is a huge out, and the Pies will be fired up to make up for last week - MM will kill someone if they lose again through lack of intensity. Still can't understand why he didn't flood numbers back late in the 4th. Poor coaching and poor effort from the Pies. Won't happen this week.

Tipped the Blues over Dogs last week. Hawks are still struggling - Eagles really stretched them in Tassie - so I reckon the Blues again.

It's so hard to tip Freo, but if they play like they did last weekend, anything is possible! Eagles 'should' win. It all hinges on Pav'. Got to feel for Palmer.

Brisbane will get up at home. Paddy did it once, he won't be able to do it two weeks in a row. Hille is a huge loss for the Bombers and it is going to hurt them for the rest of season '09.

Crows were shithouse last week, and I mean SHITHOUSE - I almost turned the TV off the game and skills were that bad - a windy MCG didn't help, neither did the Dees game plan of choking up space in the forward line. I'm putting that game down as a glitch. We got the 4pts and that's all that matter. While we're talking about Crows MCG clashes, I was at the Pies Rd1 game... and tipped against us, what a win-win tip that was! Port weren't great last Friday night, but the real key to the Port vs. Saints game wasn't so much Ports game, it was all about how good the Saints are travelling. Their pressure on the ball carrier is outstanding so far this year, better than the Cats and that's huge rap! I was at the Saints vs. Crows game and I thought the umpiring made the Saints seem better than they were... having now watched the rest of their games since, they are the real deal. My hearts says Crows... my head says Port.

I'll be in the Members on Sat' night, so if any of you fellow SAU's are going to be in the Members let me know and I'll be sure to say g'day.

I just hope we get a crowd of 40k plus, so Sam has to front up to Rundle Mall in his Reg Grundies.

OK boys, couple of tough ones in this weeks round:

Nth Melb vs Collingwood

Hawks vs Carlton

West Coast vs Freo

Bribane vs Essendon

Port vs Crows

The rest are pretty easy IMO.

Ha-ha nice work Pete. Just a couple hey mate? There's only 8 games and you're struggling with all bar 3! :)

lol Matt, I nearly added a 6th and was gonna say, "one or two difficult ones this week" :woot:

Yeah I'm pretty much going the way I intended from the beginning

Pies.......they wouldn't dare lose this week, can you say "new bum" compliments of MM!

Blues......I still think they are a top 4 side , just had a slow start to the year and Hawks are definitely having a Premiership hangover

Lions.....they can't keep losing at home and the Bombers can't keep surprising us

WC........Freo rely way to much on the Pav and WC have been a surprise package this year...me thinks they have a good coach

Port.......when it's this close I can't go againt my boys, stupid as that may turn out to be.

    • Surely the merged entity will be called "Honda" given the relative company values. I've got to be honest, I don't understand how merging 2 companies that missed EVs (despite Nissan making the first mass produced one) will solve their problems
    • If you haven't bought the ECU yet, I would strongly consider buying a modern ECU. Yes it is very easy to setup and tune, however it is lacking many of the features of a modern ECU. The pro plug in is something like 10 or 12 years old now? Can't remember exactly but it is very dated now. In that time the Elite was released and now we have the Nexus platform.  I would strongly consider not buying the ECU that is 3 generations old now (especially as it isn't a cheap ECU!).
    • Im happy for it as long as it means reanult gets the boot
    • Sorry I should have been more clear with the previous post.  The block is a sanding block - picture something like this https://motorguard.com/product/motor-guard-bgr161-bgr16-1-rigid-psa-sanding-block-2-5-8-x-16/ The guide coat is the paint It's two separate things I was talking about, there is no "block guide coat".
    • Maybe more accurately, you aren't just dulling the existing paint, you are giving the new paint something to 'grab on to'. By sanding the existing paint, you're creating a bunch of pores for the new paint to hook on to.  You can lay new paint over existing paint without sanding it, might last a year or two then sad times. The paint will peal/flake off in huge chunks. By sanding it, the new paint is able to hang onto it and won't flake off.  Depends on the primer you are using. When you buy your paint, as the paint supplier what grit of sand paper to use before you lay down the primer.  Use whatever you like as a guide coat. Pick a colour that really stands out in contrast to the paint. So say your sanding/painting a currently white car, using a black guide coat would work well. You very lightly lay the black guide coat down, then as you sand the car with the large block, all the high spots and low spots will stand out as the black paint is sanded off (or isn't sanded off).  When you buy your paint, hit up your supplier for recommendations for what paint to use for a guide coat if you're unsure what would work well with your setup.
