P.S. I used to have a WRX and had the same transition problems.

i made the step up from a pulsar gti-r and already have hurt my gtr in the rain around a tight corner.

but now am getting alot more used to steering the oppisite way out of a corner rather than turning full lock the correct way and planting it.

and about them transfer modifications?? what exactly is involved??

as circuit racing is well on the cards for me in the next few months.

Geez,

1st of all better late than never with this reply, Ive been busy for a while with some nurses and trying to set up my ATTESSA for the track.

Does anyone know if this legend is still around, (Ferrari might have snapped him up) I need him to set up my car in for the track.

How much does he charge? Is cheque OK or does he take cash?

Please

BTW for those that are interested we can source an atessa controller for the 32, locally developed. 10 settings from Full RWD to Max front (about 50% depending on the health of your transfer case). Around $400 for the kit :(

Haha, first lap in my GTR I drove it like my old rex. chucked it in the corners then mashed it. lots of smoke, sideways and s-l-o-w. at first I thought what a heap of shit, but when I backed off because of fuel supply issues my lap time dropped 2sec! got me thinking...

As for opposite lock, I dont know if i'm ever gonna master the jerky reaction impulse. Just cant seem to find the faith in an automated system. that pisses me off.

ANyone here considered an ETS Controlller, I just purchased a second M's ETS controller off of Yahoo Japan myself, will be fitting it soon.. I see a lot of people asying that after removal of HICAS and fitment of a decent controller setup for a track that ATTESSA can be both stable and predictable.. I am yet to see or believe this..

Duncan: Got any pics? :)

umm no pics yet, although it looks just like a little black box lol.

But to keep this thread on track I have started a group buy here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...715#post1282715

Two T's . One S's. ATTESA. Thats how Nissan spelled it.

Here some information on the ATTESA system that was part of a press release. Lets you know how the system works.

http://rbmotoring.com/gallery/album151

The system in an R32 is pretty slow and very rear biased. The R33 and R34 system is faster and will bring the front wheels in a bit quicker.

The Nissan racecars had adjustable torque split control.

    • It's the adhesive holding the ceramic wheel to the shaft the fails on 90% of them.
    • Foreign debris, physical shock, boost leak, could be anything honestly. The danger in taking all the timing out of a tune/hitting the R&R corner is that even if the engine doesn't detonate your turbo is taking a lot of abuse from high EGT. Also, even if nothing goes wrong it is a journal bearing that is spinning at 100k RPM on boost. Eventually it goes through enough cold start/pressure cycles to wear it out.
    • I kinda accidentally saw this, and was interested, but It actually seems to replaces the whole center computer, using the existing screen and buttons. AND it may only be for a G37 and not compatible with a Japanese 370. So its not for me, but someone else may be interested to look into it. Its about $680USD. If I am understanding it right, it basically replaces/installs and android pc that integrates with the existing screen. But I could be wrong. https://gromaudio.com/vline/ The video I first saw was the following, with very little and unclear details.     Even if your not interested in the system, the video on their site was pretty comforting in showing how simple the whole centre comes out
    • hfygrte52 what side you looking for? Do you care what color car it's off? Found a white LH side on here: https://skylinespares.com.au/product/nissan-skyline-r33-coupe-rear-tail-light/   Aussie parts place but will ship to USA. Maybe get it before there's a tarrif on 25yo shit box parts
    • I’m with Shannon’s for all 5 of our cars. Agreed values seem fair, premium price is okay. ($210 ish a month, all comprehensive).  Have claimed once with them for a not at fault claim with another car where my car had no damage. Was one call after the incident and an email after. Deemed not at fault so premium didn’t go up either.    I have called up and spoken with people who are not familiar with certain cars and didn’t agree with me on value or let their personal vehicle preferences effect the call. But called back later and got someone else who was more agreeable.
