What did you drive when you were 'L'??

Guys, just want to know what carz you guys had before skylines when you were 'L'.

I am trying to get cheap manual car before I move onto Skylines.

I just drove my parents cars. I only know of one person who had a car before they had their P's and that was his dads datsun that had been sitting in the garage for 15 years.

however, on my L's i got to drive almost any car u can think of, so that was good

i had a think about it... and here is a quick list of what I drove on my L's... this is only the GOOD car list... had a million shitters too.

- Subaru STI (old type - like 98 model - first of the four doors)

- Honda Integra Type R (old model), S2000

- Merc SLK 230 kompressor, CLK 320 kompressor, A190

- Holden SS (good for your L's!)

- HSV Clubsport

- Lexus IS200, GS300, LS430

- Nissan S15

um, thats about it from the good list as far as I can remember.

I also drove a hyundai excel once on my L's... first and only non power steering car i have ever driven. Made my arms sore too

4 me, the old shit-box Cressida. Good for surf runs,cheap, reliable and, if I were on my L's again, I wouldn't buy any other car.

I drove a few cars on my L's:

my parents honda oddysey, commodore, VW van. Then i got my R33 and drove that for about 6 months before i got my P's. Now when i drive the oddysey after the skyline and it feels like i'm driving a bus

Make mine an old HR Holden and Triumph Herald.

My son's got it pretty good. He is learning on my R33 GTS-T and Silvia. Frightens the hell out me every time we go driving (he is getting better though). Thank heavens mum comes to the rescue.

I'm still on my L's, and i may still be when i get my Skyline some time next year

So far I've driven an auto Hyundai Excel and a manual Toyota ?Ultima? or something like that.

I've only had about 6 hours driving all up, so i'm far from being good at it.

The problem with learning to drive in new, good cars and imports is that you don't appreciate them.

It's when you learn to drive in a $500 peice of junk that you can TRULY appreciate the beautiful cars we drive.
