Yeqh Scott did. Doesnt open the throttle....

According to Mr Amino at G-Zone it'll work if the throttle restriction is removed though.

Toshi, there are people on here interested in a remap if you can do it for a decent price. If you have the reflash equipment and can use it to remove speed and throttle restrictions you probably double your market.

F-con sounds interesting too, but I can't be bothered driving to Sydney to get the tune done unfortunately. I'm looking at local solutions for now.

I'm pretty sure he says we need to use those throttle controller to decrease the sensitivity of of the throttle once the restriction has been removed. That device doesn't actually open the throttle wider.

I can get map tracer software and writer for reflash M35 ECU but cost around$6000-$7000.

Software and writer( writer is for only M35) is for import ECU (in Japan)only.

So probably software can not use Australian Z33 Z34 etc ecu.

This means I think English software and writer can not use M35.

How many people want to realtime remap ?

If many people in Sydney I can buy it.

Or Im thinking me and Japanese tuner(he is in Japan) joint then make map for Australia fuel.

Is this interesting?

I would definitely be interested in this :worship: This is exactly what people have been asking for since these first appeared. I'm sure there would be enough demand to justify the investment.

I have M35 std data so I know about M35 map.

But I do not have writer so Im thinking joint to Japanese tuner.

Me and Japanese tuner will make map for Australia fuel.

How much would you like pay reflash ecu.(your ECU send to Japan and install map data for Australia fuel)

As others have said; as cheap as possible; but I could probabaly run to a max of $1000 odd for a full remap; I'd imagine this would be something like a Nistune style arrangement?

If so, surely there'd be no real need for an E-Manage, given the tuner would have full control?

Sorry, that's what I meant. Although, how do they decrease the sensitivity once the restriction is removed? By controlling how open the throttle is?

Does it actually do nothing on a car with the restriction, or it just doesn't help with the restriction?

Just thinking how it'd work, I'm curious whether it'd give you the ability to make the throttle restriction worse? (Not that anyone would want to do that, but you know...)

Throttle controllers only change the resistance curve of the pedal, it makes the curve more or less sensitive to pedal input. The ECU wont let the throttle open beyond 26% on my car at takeoff, until 30kph or there abouts. That is what I need removed, I don't really care if the plate doesn't go to 100% at wot as it still flows plenty. The other option is to disable limp mode somehow to allow a cable throttle and TPS but that would probably be harder to program.

Toshi, if the remap was user programmable I would pay over $1000 but a simple reflash shouldn't cost more than $500 I believe.

Teps run a similar configuration with the F-con in p1ggyback configuration. I would be very interested as they seem to know what they are talking about. Can you ask them if it will work well with the Emanage Ultimate please? Like I said fuelling wont matter as im running 1000cc injectors and e85, I will let the emanage take care of that. Just a standard remap would do I guess.

Can they fiddle with the cam timing also?

At that price very interested. How many people would you need for the group buy and how long would you need the ECU for?

Are you sending them to TEPS? Or are you doing them locally with TEPS data? If its all local I couldn't imagine postage would be that bad.

I don't think the Z33 has the throttle issue we experience. Gzone are willing to remove it as part of their remap so it is possible, but probably not easy as other remaps don't cater for it.

Z33 have 16x16 throttle map.

I think its same M35 (not same map but I think also M35 have 16x16 throttle map)

I will ask G-ZONE about throttle map.

I have a spare ecu and I dont mind being the tester, I can log most data and let people know what changes have been made.

I will need an ecu modified fairly soon though, I have a GTX3071 just waiting to put out 600 hp if I can get the throttle to bloody open. :whistling: How far along are you with negotiation Toshi?

I told I do not have flash writer.

Flash writer and software Cost $6000-7000.

If I have writer I will make data my self.

So I will send to Japan.

Gzone must be fielding a lot of questions from many different people. lol. I have a few avenues to get an ecu flashed by them, what is the benefit of going through you Toshi? :)

Perhaps some sort of swap over system could be organised, im sure more of us would be interested if their car isnt off the road for weeks.

Toshi, if you're getting the ECUs remapped by TEPS, is it possible to get other items that TEPS have made for NM35s? Can you get a list of parts available from TEPS for NM35s? There are plenty of threads on here about their stuff, and I'd be very interested in a few items...

So do you want to make 600hp map?

Or just throttle map?

Std AFM is around 200-220kw max.

I can ask him please send parts thread address.

I will ask parts list.

I run the Greddy Map sensor for fuelling, I think it takes over at 2psi or there abouts.

If they do a hard tune for the stock turbo that will do, it will be more practical and enable an easy sale if I ever want to get rid of it I guess.

    • Hmm. Yes. I should have been clearer. 1000s for Haltech, for extra headroom. 725s for Nistune. You might even be OK with 640s, but if the possible power ends up much more than 300 rwkW you will run out of headroom on the 640s. That would probably be OK and a signal to not push it to that sort of power with Nistune anyway. At that level you probably do want to be thinking about engine protection functions. Oh, and all of that presumes 98 only, not E85. Well....the 1000s would allow you to run E85 at ~300rwkW territory, again, maybe sort of running out of headroom. Hard to tell with E85 - depends on the tuner as to how rich they like to set it up.
    • Yes.  The only scenario I can imagine when the answer isn't yes, is if you drive like there is highway patrol behind you at all times.  If your car currently runs, enjoy it and keep saving. Better costs more, keep saving until you can budget the better ECU. It's worth it.  Nope. Plenty of us making >300kw on unopened motors. Mine is unopened and makes about 350kw if I turn everything up, its fine (lots of caveats here, how the car will be used/abused, how long you expect the engine to last between rebuilds, how has the engine been maintained prior to coming into your ownership, etc etc).
    • Sorry just wanting to clarify, at this power goal, which should I be going? Also, More info regarding suspension, the rear upper camber arms were used to get the camber back to i believe around -0.5 ~ -1 degree (@ Road and Race in Rydalmere), I forgot the exact figure, but ALOT less camber than what it came originally which was like -2.5degrees. Are the traction arms still recommended? The bilsteins from SydneyKid, they've got 400lb/in fronts & 275/in in the rear, revalved to his specs. Intercooler, I'm just having a look at some on Rakuten.jp and some other japanese sites. Might get something from back there, GReddy, Blitz or HPI, all crossflow. Looking at roughly $450-$500 AUD + shipping... Theres not many choices except that chinese branded Justjap unless you go for blitz return flow. Yeah, only downside with Haltech is the price ahhaha, so expensive, and with all the sensors if I go that route... $$$$$ yeesh. Are headstuds/gaskets needed for <300akw?
    • Haltech fanboi reporting in. Buy the Haltech!
    • You can try shoving a borescope down there to see what's up.
