Hey all,

Just want to compare what results other people acheived from BMT Dyno.

Please also state the mods you have.

Anyway I go first.. Just had my car dynoed at BMT , im sure Sam will remember me ;)

Car:

------

-Skyline R33 GTST Type-M

Mods:

-------

-2 Stage Boost Controller (set to 11 psi, no spikes)

-3" Dump/Front pipe

-3" Cat

-3" Exhaust

-Apexi SAFC tuned from Sam himself

-NGK Plenium Spark Plugs gapped to 0.8mm

Result:

---------

-127rwkw

Is that abit too low? I know that the BMT dyno is more accurate than all the other Dynos out there and that other dynos run higher. Just wanna see what other people had acheived from BMT :P

ive heard it is more conservative.. i read somewhere a car was put on the bmt dyno and it got well i forget :P but then the same car was put on the dyno at auto salon and it was much higher. Does the word conservative mean more accurate?

i was rather shocked at 127rwkw i must say. the car should me more then that stock

It is always hard to say more accuracy but I think all dynos are conservative compared to Autosalon. I dont know about BMT's as I use Ben at RacePace and Simon's at Nizpro that are different but come up with very similar figures that are usually consevative by other dyno's standard.

Mick.

yes dude, everything seems ok. turbo spinning, only got stock intercooler though :P i was shocked myself also.. its really weird, timed myself 0-100km using the apexi RSM and scored 5.8sec? my car isn't that sloww as i can feel the pull in it but why 127rwkw that puzzles me.

Hey Eric 127rwkw is a bit low considering ur car is an auto with auto u loose 10-15rwkw easy I got 140rwkw when mine was auto with 11psi boost 3" cat back zorst and tuned safc on BGT's dyno about 2yrs ago it could be the dyno itself. ur 0-100 time is pretty respectable so u might actually have more than what the dyno shows that would be my theory anyway.

guys just to let u know most older dynos are not very accurate and generally put out a lot higher readings... all the new dynos that are around are genuine readings which u should really go by... it may only be low 120s but i bet it will beat or stay up with cars that have dynoed 180rwkw on other dynos.

    • I much prefer that to an actual oil pressure issue, never would of thought it would of been a volt drop issue but SAU brains win again. Guess ill be turning down the oil pressure limit for the track and hunting some grounds. Ill hopefully update this thread with some high oil pressure and solid ecu voltage logs.
    • You've just discovered a really good reason to tell yourself, yes, I do need to buy an aftermarket ECU. Put the MAF in the bin. Slap in the new ECU and have a think about what turbo sounds you prefer.  Do you want a 90's style BOV wooosh? Do you want a hektik tsututututu?  Mate, can't go wrong. Just gotta get that ECU and the world is your oyster.
    • Hi. Iam just curisou about this topic. I saw this video. It is about Greddy Type FV2. I know that BoVs are about that sound but how and when to use it? I read some topic here and from what i have understand on stock RB with MAF there will be some "problems" if you use this BoV? It vents the air in to the atmosphere and the MAF on stock car needs this air back in to the intake and not out? Or is it wrong? If so...i saw you can put some adaptor to circule air back...but does that not "loose" that sound? I saw another BoV from Turbosmart and it has two "exhaust" like ports? One is for the stock tubing for letting air back and one is for "sound" and let the air in the atmosphere? Can someone please explain? This is the Greddy one:  And this is the Turbosmart.     THANK YOU!! EDIT: So i read about this topic some more and i if i understand that correctly: That Greddy can function either like BoV or 100% Bypass valve? And that Turbosmart is what they called hybrid so you can adjust what and how many air can be vented out or back in? Is this right? THX!
    • That dirty voltage drop is the culprit I suspect
    • i cant get them all in 1 screenshot unfortunately as i just dont know how to move things around tbh, but they are all from the same log and the line crosses at the same point for all of them
