pushead - I took off all my intake piping which was suprisingly clean, and gave it a bit more of a clean.

I then cleaned my afm and then took off the thottle body and cleaned that. Out of the lot the throttle body looked the worse (thin layer of very thick oil around it).

After putting it all back i found a noticible difference in throttle response and felt like it came on boost a bit smoother.

It will only cost u 1 bottle of carby cleaner. Would be interesting to see before and afters on a dyno of doing this.

yes it does... it always does... no matter what mods, tyre pressure, clutches all come into play.... put a decent clutch in a stock car and u will probably chop almost half a second off the time.

I made 140rwkw at BMT.

Mods:

* 3"dump/front

* 3" cat back (crappy cat is still the bottleneck)

* Bleed valve set at 0.7 bar (~10psi)

* K&N Panel filter in stock air box.

* Pineapples (prolly wont affect a power reading)

I couldnt give a rats ass what rwkw I've got. I ran a 13.83 @ 101mph last weekend which is similar to others with 180+rwkw.

nigasnt is 100% correct, rwkw dont mean squat!

thanks for all your input ppl. I was wondering ok, instead of measuring in rwkw but 1/4 mile times, did anyone measured their 0-100km/s? if so what results? reason why i asked is most street drags are 0-100km times, please also note i do not encourage anyone to street drag, but im sure we all have done it some stage :P:)

i think bmt dyno is lower (someones already prolly said what im saying b ut i cbf reading the whole thread)

so is racepace's dyno, best way to find out is either test on anotehr dyno or simply ask the guys at BMT if that's the average power they have seen on cars with your mods, they'd know best :P

This dyno is way low for sure!!

RiggaP said he ran a 13.8 or something with a dyno result of 141rwkw... For your car to run high 13's you have to be pushing about 180rwkw plus..

I had my r31 dynoed at Goodguys in bayswater and got 160rwkw @ 12psi and I know my car is probably good for low to mid 14's..

Take it to the track, see what sorta MPH you get

    • Hey guys, I have dipped my toes into the pool of skylines finally and figured I would get amongst the forums and make an introduction post! My name is Callum, I'm from the north side of Sydney, and I am now 6 months into owning my 1992 R32 GTS-T (already having half of that time off the road in true nissan fashion). It is originally an AH3 car but at some stage of its life it has been resprayed in and out in TH1 with (in the sellers words) extra purple, parked next to an actual TH1 car it is a fair bit lighter in colour. It has also had the original RB20 swapped out for an RB25DET NEO which I presume to be out of a Stagea going off the AWD sump that has been sealed up. I won't go super into detail with mods as I want to create a build thread post soon. Unfortunately the car seems to have had a hard life as many of these have being previously a cheap sub 10k car, and I have barely any history on it so if anyone happens to recognise the car or thinks they may have any history I would LOVE to hear it as I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to car history, the seller had it roughly since 2020 I believe and was from Parramatta area if that helps. Look forward to being a part of the community, I have been to 2 SAUNSW events already (one being in 2022 prior to ownership, and once more a few weekends ago) so you could say I am not brand new to it but can definitely be more involved via the forums! (side note: I am pretty new to forums and struggled to attach pictures of the car, is there an easier method than having to have the pictures on facebook and copying the link from there? would love to know for future reference cheers!)
    • I have GT2860R. I'm not sure if they are -5 or -7. Do you know? These are the exact ones.  https://www.enjukuracing.com/products/garrett-rb26dett-gruppe-n-turbo-upgrade.html?srsltid=AfmBOopSCzHaDtf7nggL6R8KrD8RJP4wxBJitmkRmswmv2SaEbAVcxTe And to be honest, i think the car was the most enjoyable to drive on the streets when it was 280hp (205kw). I could enjoy all the revs to redline i wouldn't be going crazy fast, but just fast enough to know that you are working the car.
    • If i used a cooling system pressure tester, would it show me a leak with the head gasket? Ive used one before to chase down a leaking coolant hose. Not sure if this will work on the oil-cooler warmer.
    • Hi all,   suspect this is a common problem. I think I missed 4th gear a bit when I shifted down from 5th. Now it grinds into 4th with the downshift. Is it the sychro and what do I need to replace when I open the gear box up?    added a photo of my new titanium intake I just installed and built. 👍💪
