I stand to be corrected, but I think R34 and R33 rails are the same - should bolt on perfectly...however, I think R33 seats are slightly larger so you may have some issued with fitment in regard to the space between the seats and the center arm rest.

Hi adrian_r34 or should I say Jess R33,

It’s quite amusing how similar the both of you are:

adrian_r34 joined 24/04/2009

Jess R33 joined 20/04/2009

Jess R33 has an Apexi Power FC with HC to sell….from her Series 1 R33 which was recently “EPA’d”

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Po...96#entry4545796

and so do you from your recently “upgraded” Series 1 R33 to a 34gtt

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pa...17#entry4553917

Jess R33 was also speaking of selling her standard r33 gtst series 1 driver’s seat in the same post

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Po...96#entry4545796

and you….well…. you were quite interested in seats too….

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Se...52#entry4554152

BUT the part that seals the deal for me is that the two of you have the same IP address…..

So….I think you need to have a little think, speak to your housemate (who you posted also has a R33)…..and let me know what you want to do…via post or PM…

What I would like is my $1200 back ASAP.

I will be contacting the police as well as DOCEP (Department of Consumer Protection) if you don’t get back to me.

Peter

hey.

Can someone please tell me if skylines and stageas have the same seat rails? (except for the 34 which we now all know are different :()

I just want to know if I can put 33gtr seats into a series 2 stagea and I have searched, honest, but I just can't find an exact answer. I've found bits about people putting gtr seats into stags but it doesn't say if the rails are all the same or if you need new ones.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
