If you wanted to do a weekend trip the Great ocean road - Apollo bay - Otways - Grampians is a really nice round trip. The yha youth hostels at Apllo bay and the Grampians are modern, have open fires, all amenities and $15 pp a night. I did this trip last year and am planning on taking my boyfriend

Great Ocean Road for the win...you can't beat that road for scenery and twisties. It's just a pain when you come across a slow driver who doesn't want to do the speed limit and won't pull over. You will be running in a turbo so you have a spirited driving permission slip
