The passenger side window is playing up on my R34 GT, the front of it goes down faster than the back, the back seems to get stuck, and then the whole window gets stuck and i cant get it down or up. If i open the door and push the button for awhile eventually it sometimes goes back up. But then it hit the seal on the door, and i cant close it unless the door is open anyway.

I havent owned my car for very long, and to my knowledge the previous owner didnt have this problem. However i think what has happened is the previous owner got his sound system professionally installed, and they messed it up. If i take off the door panel and try to see what is going on, i cant see anything wrong with the rollers, but there is a lot of speaker wiring in the door, and i think it is getting wrapped around the front roller of the window, so when i push the button it drags the front down and then gets stuck in the roller so the window cant move anymore...

I just wanted to find out if anyone else has had a problem like this with their window, or if you think it is those speaker cables? If you do think it is the cables, does anyone know how to get the glove box out? I presume the wiring would go behind the glove box, so if i could get it out then i could pull the excess wiring through from the door and cable tie it somewhere, but i cant see how to get the glove box out, ive removed all the screws i can see and it still wont budge at all.

Cheers for any help =]

Hey fella, i have had the same problem with my window too. When i wind it down it clicks alot and the front will go down first?? and when you wind it up the back will go up first and the front will follow?? i took my door card off to find out the problem and there is a little plastic bush on the window half scissor system and this has broken so its f**ked! i tried to glue it back together but snapped straight away again! maybe a new system will be needed?? if you get chance to look again just look where the arm meets the slider and it will be around there. hope this helps mate

found a similar problem with my 34 today, the drivers window keeps wanting to go down (i can put it up about 1/3rd of the way then it winds down again) the motor sounds fine, could be the relay i guess.. trying to figure out how to get the door skin off at the moment :D

Yeh that sounds pretty much like what it does. I guess it could be that, but i couldnt see anything with the actual window system that looked wrong, and my window is actually working pretty well now except that now the passenger side switch is broken and it can only be rolled up and down from the drivers side. Took the switch out and found that the little clips that hold the rocker in place have all snapped off, so i need to buy a new switch, which is f**ked!

Anyway, it appears to be working pretty well if i do it from the drivers side, it isnt going down on an angle anymore. Except the seal is coming off the door, so i have to open the door to wind it back up with the door open =[

Seriously, power windows are so shit, manual windows are so much better!
