Ok, we finally got a few designs that we think could make it into productions... I know it'll be hard to choose with around 18 choices below, so I've allowed multiple choices so you can choose a couple that you like best... but please don't abuse it, e.g. don't vote for all 18s - be true to your feelings :-)

Please vote using the corresponding numbers below... In no order of preferences, the designs are as follow:

Design by V35_Paul (Paul)

1. Simple V35 Skyline: Simple design V35 Skyline, can be applied to all 250GT, 300GT, 350GT owners, but not 370GT (V36) owners, unless it's modified to V36

post-328-1240634058_thumb.jpg

2. V35: GT-R style but kind of reads 35V instead of V35, and might get a bashing from GTR owners as V35 are not GTR

post-328-1240634141_thumb.jpg

3. V35 Club: Simple black and white design

post-328-1240634210_thumb.jpg

4. 350GT Club: Simple black and white design, can be modified to become 250GT, 300GT, or even 370GT (V36) if required

post-328-1240634270_thumb.jpg

5. Australia's 350GT Drivers Club: another variation from Paul, instead of Club Australia, this one is Drivers Club.post-328-1240634397_thumb.jpg

6. 350GT Club Australia: Another variation from Paul, with a straight font "club Australia". Remember that all 350 can be modified to 250, 300 or 370.

7. 350GT Club Australia (version 3): Another variation from Paul, with curly font "club Australia". Remember that all 350 can be modified to 250, 300 or 370.

8. 350GT Club Australia (version 5): Paul's FINAL version (might still be open for some minor revision). We kind of think this is the best of Paul's so far.

9. 350GT Club with car icon V1: It's rather comic but since the comical car is quite fashionable these days, it could be a good one.post-328-1240634854_thumb.jpg

10. 350GT Club Australia V4: Thin font on black background

post-328-1240634917_thumb.jpg

11. 350GT Club Australia V5: Thin font on white background

post-328-1240634927_thumb.jpg

12. 350GT LED Style V10: In tribute of the V35's LED tail light - here is the LED style from Tai!

post-328-1240635739_thumb.jpg

13. 350GT Club Australia V12: slanted look to give it more 'fast' look. We reckon this is the best from Tai's so far...

Design by Ashman149 (Ashley)

14. V35: Simple round V35 logo... Ashley's 1st attempt at Photo Shop

post-328-1240635159_thumb.jpg

15. Skyline Club Australia: Ashley's 2nd attempt - but kind of 'obsolete' as we already have Skylines Club Australia, but what the heck we'll put it all on.post-328-1240635228_thumb.jpg

16. Fiery 350GT Club style: Ashley's last attempt - might look crazy with bonnet flame decals.

Perhaps.

Or maybe even a total re-design... since there's some talk on the other thread that having 250GT, 300GT, 350GT, 370GT (4 different clubs) might be a bit too much, so maybe it'll be a re-design of something that covers all V cars...

but you can just vote in for fun... so far Paul's # 8 and Seithaiyaar's #13 are leading in 1st and 2nd position...

OK! V35 CLUB LOGO RE-DESIGN

Reason:

1. lol we stuffed up, well sort of. The first plan was having a 350GT logo then modifying it to suit all the sedan variants and the new 370gt, But this lead to the fact that there will now be a 200,250,300,250,370gt clubs!...too many representing the same club. It gets real confusing that way.

So here is the new plan:

1. Logo should be designed to cater for all Varients with no variation in the logo design.

2. if the logo ends up being printed then its basically a long rectangle,so design with the emphasis on reducing the height so it doesn't look like an advert!

3. it follows a theme with the car, e.g the colours, Grey and red.and most importantly its for a V35 not 'skylines' in gen.

oh and come on, we need more people making logos!!!............ALSO don't STOP voting, it will still be interesting to know the complete result of this poll!

Thanks!

If I may suggest a "Vseries Club GT Australia" variant of the one picked or something along those lines, thus eliminating the need for customising us non '350' owners stickers and having just the alternate one

:bunny::)

otherwise I like 6,7,11 simpler the better i say

guys no.8 is ideal i reckon but with this logo say if i wanted to stick it on my v the black/dark background wont be there right? because its too dark. if it was clear wen applied then only the words would stay then it would be really good effect. if you know what i mean.

i am pretty sure that the logo when being printed will be on a clear background, so people with tint will provide an ideal background, even guys witout tint it will work out well.

and you guys should cheak out the V35 LOGO thread since new logos have been updated.

i agree with waiting a lil while to see if more people want it, maybe a seprate POLL should be made sticky just to guage the interest if people want the logo or not.

No 7 is a goodie. Bit of class with the flowing writing at the bottom. Do feel sorry for the non 350 owners though and agree they need to be encompassed in the design, whoever suggested 'V Series' I think this is a good alternative.

also keep in mind, when we apply logos to windows the words and letters may need to be a bit thick. reason is ive got sauwa stickers on and the australia part some letters tend to fall off as i wipe the windows over with a cloth. hence the word clus aus could be thicking abit to avoid this drama.

    • My take on gg2 48mm, 54mm, 58mm, and 62mm compressor map for same size compressor vs gg1 : All gg2 only outflow gg1 above 20 psi. As all g gen 2 surge line at lower left of comp map move to the right, all gg2 sacrifice spool vs same size gg1, surge line move to the right worst for 54mm gg2. So for same size compressor if you want best response, use gg1, if you want max hp at >20psi use gg2 but you will be laggier vs same size gg1. Max compressor efficiency drops to max 75% on all gg2 vs max 76%-80% of same size gg1. Iirc lower efficiency means hotter iat less dense air so lower hp at same operating point of comp map. Also curious why gg2 is mapped to lower max rpm vs same size gg1 (only 48mm size both gg1 gg2 mapped to same rpm) : 54mm gg1 165,000 rpm  vs  gg2 160,000 rpm. 58mm gg1 150,000 rpm vs gg2 140,000rpm. 62mm gg1 145,000 rpm vs gg2 140,000 rpm. If gg2 can safely spin to gg1 rpm then they can flow a bit more than as mapped. Good thing that all gg 2 interchange compressor and turbine housings with same size gg 1. So gg1 owners can buy gg2 chra only if planning to boost >20psi.
    • My stuff is all with Shannon's, granted, I don't really have imports I'm driving on the road, however, I've had multiple cars at the same time with them. Presently we have the Landcruiser on laid up cover, Sarah's Kluger on full cover, and the house insured. About 18 months ago Sarah wrote her Subaru Liberty GTB off, insured with Shannon's, and the payout, and buy back of the wreck was super quick. In 2020 we had the VF Commodore totalled in a major hailstorm. Storm was on the Saturday, I called on the Sunday and lodged it, vehicle was towed on Tuesday night, assessment team called on Wednesday to say it was a total loss and get payout details, money was in the bank on Thursday morning. Have had a few other claims both at fault, and not at fault, over the years, and never had an issue with them.   Funnily enough, they're also the cheapest insurer I find for things like Sarah's Kluger.   I will say I'm less impressed dealing with them lately around "the experience", as a lot of their staff that you deal with aren't car enthusiasts. Shannon's has a much more main stream feel ever since they decided to become "big corporate", laid a heap of staff off, and then hired a bunch of non enthusiasts. At the same time they've been making a push to be less "call us and we'll personally have someone who cares help" to "hey, this computer can do stuff for you" and are trying to get more square pegs to fit round holes. (That's just the vibe I get from them). Again, have had no issues with claims with them, but get a bit of a "less personal" feel from them.
    • A thing I wasn’t happy with with enthusiast was during the initial phone call they told me they’d insure it for 130k but needed photos.   I then sent them photos and they told me $80k as there were other cars either similar modifications available for around that price, I told them to send me the links to said cars so that I can buy them. i then sent the modification list with prices of the parts (no labor) and the price then came to 115k, which is still shy of the 130 that was agreed in the initial phone call
    • Ask me a bit later this week before payday
    • I agree that delayed payment probably isn't the most suitable solution. It seems a solid complete transaction would be best. As I wouldn't be using this sale as a line of credit that would typically earn interest, we can probably arrange a much cleaner single transaction deal. I can do $92.52 today. Would you prefer EFT, or Cash on Pickup?  😛
