I've got my mines chipped ECU for sale which i used in my AUTO - this will suit both manual and auto series 1 r33's, im not sure if it works on series 2.

Specs are:

- Removed rev limiter

- Richer maps to handle hiflow turbo + breathing mods + ~15psi boost. AFR's were at 11.8-12 on boost and ~15.1 AFR cruising.

- Annoying boost cut/r&r removed. I'd log a 5.1v @ 4500rpm and it wouldnt even hesitate to rev.

- would give me 460km to the tank +/-30km depending on how i drove.

Im after $300 + post. by far the BEST bang for your buck mod - you'll notice the power difference instantly even on a standard setup.

I can be contacted via PM or post here.

Pics will be up soon.

Cheers,

Joe

not sure on an actual figure mate but i would estimate around 210-215kw when i was running around 10psi, i cant comment on 15psi as i wasnt getting traction at all but it felt awesome. believe me, if you had this in your car you would be confused as to why these things are going for so cheap!

Yeah mine has 201kw with standard ecu and injectors on 13psi, did yours have bigger injectors with the mines ecu?

And wats the go if u wanna go run 18psi with this ecu, is there much stuffing around?

where ur location?

sydney west

nah mate it had standard injectors. to boost it up to 18psi you wont need much work - just turn up the boost lol.

either way i wouldnt do more than what i said in my first post without getting on a dyno and checking that your AFR's are ok.

im interested. Is it good @ fuel and air flow tuning?

read my first post mate, all the info is there. its not a tuneable computer hence the reason why its so cheap. you just plug it in and off you go.

if you wanted to tune it you'd strap a emanage blue or ultimate to it and you'll be sweet. it will still cost you less than getting a full aftermarket computer if you wanted to go bigger injectors etc etc later on.

    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
