Hey guys, I have a rb25det S2 engine and it has had a complete engine re-build (bottom end BRAND new all parts and top end has been reconditioned but i left all the seats and valves and injectors as they were fine) has and only done 283km because its only been on the road for 1 week.

The car used to shake when i turned it on before i had the engine re-build but it is still doing it after the re-build. The engine shakes and then the car shakes from it and the RPM drops too 300 and tries too stall and will if i don't hit the accelerator to 2000 RPM after that i can turn it off and it wont do it again until i leave it for an hour. If i drive it for 15min the engine warm and wont do it again for about 12 hours.

so its a cold start problem.

Also i get a strong smell of fuel from the exhaust.

any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hey mate, try cleaning your AAC valve. I did this, as my car was doing the same thing plus was stalling at the lights when i put my clutch in. Click here for a really good DIY AAC valve cleaning guide. It only took me an hour and was really easy to follow. Hope this helps. Post up your results.
