Help With Installation.

Ok so my computer pretty much won't install any 'Games for Windows' games... I insert the CD nothing comes up so i go to My Computer and click on the drive then my computer doesn't respond. DOES anyone know how to fix this at all? Really need some help, please!

*edit* if its any help i'm trying to install Devil May Cry 4, and i've tried other games for windows and the same thing as happened.

Could be a long list of probable things dude.

You know anyone thats good with computers that can take a look?

Can you right click on the drive and select "auto play" or "open/explore" ???

I've got a Windows XP 2.61GHz AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-core Processor with 4GB of Ram and a nVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1024MB.

I really only know the basics about computers and my computer was built for me about a month ago.

would it have anything to do with my specs? like the game isn't compatible with AMD or something, even tho it doesn't mention it. -_-

Could you list the most probable causes?

*edit* umm, no i can't right click the hourglass comes up and My Computer becomes non-responsive and when i close it my explorer just turns off and i have too eject the CD to bring my start menu and desktop back

Is the disk scratched and is the cd/DVD drive new or was it recycled from an old PC?

Disk is Brand new and my drive is new

So does the drive read any disk?

every disk but 'Games for Windows' disks

Sounds like the game's copy protection messing stuff up... if all your other normal discs reads fine except the game ones...

Not 100% sure though.
