Putting Boost Up On Stock Car

Recommended Posts

Don't just boost it cause u won't recieve max gains and only strain other components.

U need a cooler and turbo back exhaust at least and probably some sort of induction kit

Do a full exhaust first. The car will make more boost pressure by itself as it is taking away a restriction.

Upping the boost on a standard car won't give many gains as there are still large restrictions.

The vac line that doesn't connect to anything, Is that the line that the other end connects to the boost controller? Because if the controller has no idea what boost the car is running it wont be able to regulate it.

So you have 3 vac lines coming out of the little black box?

That hose needs to go back into intercooler piping. As stated it controls boost.

you can get an air nipple welded or a screw in type from like repco of sorts.

Im sure this has been discussed many types, search intercooler, nipple.

jacked thread here... soz :P

But there is already 1 vac line going to the plenum that should be all the controller needs to tell what boost pressure the car is running. Why would you need 2?

just rip all that crap out and connect one side of the boost controller to the wastegate on the turbo and go to autobahn or repco and grab a little brass bard fitting and screw it in the cross over pipe( will have to drill and tap it first) then plug the other sside of the boost controller onto your bard fitting and hey presto your done. go for a drive and set it at around 10- 11 psi on a stock setup. anymore and well we all know what happens. lol
