Hey all,

Just a random question. I have to go through AWN warranty to get my car's misfire/gear crunching fixed, and they have recommended me to a place in Osbourne park called Aquilla Automotive's?

Has anyone ever heard of these guys? apparently they are around the corner from Xspeed. I would LIKE to take my car to Xspeed or someone similar! but I'm not too sure the AWN warranty dealers will let me :thumbsup:

If anyone has had any experiences with them or what you think I should do?

That would be GRAND!

Phil

firstly, xspeed is in o'connor so i hope u don't get lost. and xspeed is rather expensive and quite slow with everything, but will give a good service once they make a start. Well thats just my experience with them. Could not comment on Aquilla Automotive's cause i haven't heard of them.

Good luck.

DOH!!!!

I meant O'connor.... yes basically they are both in O'connor...

@hoony

Yeah I was going to try and ask, I did last time but I think the guy ignored me... he mentioned Xspeed used to be on their list but now they aren't?

I mean it's worth a try if I go in and tell them what I want replaced. eg splitfires in, redline shockproof in. Or you reckon it's better to let them diagnose... NOT much experience with garages that I'm not too sure about but have to go through..

Max at Aquilla is awsome. He has done quite a bit of work for me and does my regular servicing for both my cars. Very trusted and is a gun mechanic. :)

Orly.... Max is it? I think someone different answered the phone, they are on Zeta crescent in O'Connor. Either way if you say this Max is great, then i'll just go and let them fiddle with it until my car works :) Hope they do separate claims! can only claim up to a certain amount for every part... but in that case I have unlimited claims to hehe

You can also get AWN to pay out the warranty amount. Take it to Aquilla Automotive's and get them to have a look at it and qoute how much they think it will cost to repair then they will tell AWN the total amount or you can tell AWN. You can then say to them that you want that amount in cash instead and take it to your mechanic of choice.

It says in the warranty booklet that the owner can choose to have the amount paid in cash instead of having it repaired or something along those lines. It is worth a shot so have a read the booklet before you do anything.
