Yes I know there is a "Stagea Suspension" thread, but it is pretty cluttered and we haven't really explored a lot of M35 suspension kit options out there, so I thought I would put together a bit of a list with some basic info and links to websites for those of us without suspension upgrades.

This is not a complete list by any means, but should serve to give M35 owners a few options.

Awesome, nice work man :O

My car is running the Nismo S-Tune, not bad at all!

I believe if I need to get the shocks redone they can replace the insides, I think from memory they are actually retagged Bilsteins.

Doesn't lower the vehicle by heaps but it definatly gives it a nice ride around corner's, the RX behind me (nudge nudge Iain) was screeching wheels around the old pac whilst mine was gripping like sh!t on a stick :)

Anyways, that is my 2 cent's worth on the Nismo S-Tune.

you were only gripping like shit because you were going so friggen slowly :O

I was awaiting a reply like this :) you are just soooo predictable flange man.

Even though I was going slow I still would have beat Andy :D

my mum could beat andy :O

anyway, there is a massive range of spring rates! i like the look of the Tein GT Wagons :)

its a shame the rears arent a 'coil over' type of spring/shock combo. i guess to keep the boot space flat and have more of it.

Do you think one of the modders could start pulling all this new info over into the M35Info thread so newbe's can source the info there first? There are other topics on here like Sat/Nav/Stereo info, intake, wheels/tyres, swaybars, towbars, interior removal and exhaust (flanges!) :O .

+1 on that, I'm all for including the flange in all discussions :O

Yeah. I will be GRADUALLY doing a few more.

Intercoolers

Exhausts

Bodykits

Yep, I'll be cleaning up the thread a bit soon and collating the info into C34-specific and M35-specific sections to make it easier for all...

Thanks Stephen and Ian.

Stephen you haven't even seen my car let alone seen me drive.

Looks like a track day challenge for the best lap time will be on soon..................

This is great work....well done....

you trying to send me broke????

Nah, not trying to send you broke, but if you are just throwing away those Bilsteins, consider me calling dibs.

Gotta say that it looks like the Nismo or AiStar would be the best "bang for buck".

The Nismo's are bloody comfortable and a damn good performer.

Would love a set of those Dolphin tuned Ohlin's though

I was only revving you up Andy, no offence was intended! :)

Let me do some more work to the car before there is a track day lol

wats the difference between the ARX and RS/RX suspension?

other than height and stuff?

I think the only differences are height and stuff :)

Maybe just different springs? I'm not sure, maybe Andy or Craig can shed some light on it.

The M35 Information Fact Sheet thingie I posted up previously only covers the difference in ground clearance.

wats the difference between the ARX and RS/RX suspension?

other than height and stuff?

40mm more ground clearance (180mm)

10mm more track width front and rear.

The LSD at rear but this is not the really a suspension difference.

I haven't been able to find any other differences.

The Bilstein set for the ARX drops the ride height by about 40mm.

If the the sets are not for the ARX but for a RS or RX they would drop the ride height by 60-80mm.

Cheers

Andy

    • Haha yea it's a bit of a weird setup at the moment, just wanted to make sure I sorted out any headaches before dyno day. At the moment I've changed the exhaust manifold, turbo and downpipe, 460lph fuel pump and rising rate reg as well as the previously mentioned headstuds and gasket. The nistune was already mapped for the car as it was and drove around for a few months no worries. The plan is to run flex fuel hence the big pump, which I've wired direct to the battery through a relay to avoid voltage issues.
    • Um. Was the ECU the same as the one previously there? I know R33's needed R32 GTST ECU's or other tomfoolery to run Nistune. This is such a wild setup. Most people would plumb in the turbo then not drive the car (i.e tow it to a tuner). What's actually changed since it last ran?
    • I'm a bit stuck with this one fellas, I recently decided to undertake a turbo conversion on my GTS-4, ended up pulling the motor to replace all the seals and do an mls head gasket and arp head studs while I was at it. Everything has gone according to plan, no oil or coolant leaks, compression checked out, and decided to give it a test before I book it in for a tune As it stands right now, the turbo only has oil lines plumbed so that I don't put boost into my untuned engine, and I'm using the factory GTS-T crossover pipe with a maf and poddy as a temporary intake. The car starts with relative ease and idles amazingly, however as the title suggests it really doesn't want to rev up, runs very smooth but almost feels choked out and unresponsive to the throttle, almost like it's running lean or something? I've triple checked my vacuum lines and timing with a timing light, injectors haven't been touched as of yet to avoid flooding the engine and worked perfectly beforehand, new plugs and coilpacks, I've even unbolted the cat just to see if it spontaneously collapsed, no dice The car currently has a nistune r32 gtst ecu installed so I have no way to check for fault codes. At this point I'm a bit stumped. Is this normal behaviour for a car with a turbo bolted onto the exhaust going nowhere? I'd imagine the turbo wouldn't cause this much restriction in the exhaust without the boost going through the intake. Any ideas? If necessary I can link a video of how it responds to full throttle while in neutral.
