thanks andy thank kinda clarifies it sorta hehe

I've got a ride high of 140mm ground clearance on the front and slightly more at the rear..closer to 18 so i suspect its an arx debadged. (but on a hill so lifting at rear)

The turbo also sounds like its spooling quite high at 3000rpms (but still undetermined if its at that 14psi as no gauge or controller yet)

however cant spot the HICAS underneath the car nor the plastic wheel arches, and after learning the other box was the ATESSA 4x4 system from duncan..ive got no idea!

not sure if these pics will help but can you confirm confirm? (andy or dunc)

The reason i ask is .. front shocks are starting to get spungy and noisy on the rebound.. could be front springs also. so i need to really confirm before i make a suspension choice and end up getting stuck with non arx gear and finding out its an arx after the fact hehe.

Thanks heaps! :)

I would be leaning towards this being an RX, given the lack of Hicas. Don't think it would be likely you'd pull off the flares, fill the holes left behind, then respray. My RS was about that high before the coilovers. And at least as spongy as you're saying.

i got the kenstyle... although it has hks on them aswell. so maybe kenstyle get hks stuff and alter it? i dont know

its not as stiff as normal cars which is good. dont want it to be like a track car lol. its a wagon ffs

but yer loving the coilovers, havnt lowered it yet. i will once i get some spacers!

Looks to be RS or RX gear then will suit?

Is there any difference ?

Greenio here, bloody hilarious, thinking of changing my name by deed poll!

RS & RX suspension is the same.

Greenio out.

LOL, Greenieo you forgot to mention that RS/RX suspension kits can be used on Axis models as well

My bad, it's not easy being green(ieo) you know... :P

Yeah looking at greenline for some of this suspension that nismo s-tune

for just shy of 100,000 yen. (roughly $1330 without shipping)

reasonable price you think?

'tis bloody nice suspension. You would not regret it.... BUT if I was buying a new suspension kit, would I go the Nismo for ~$1600 or would I go for the BC's at ~$1200.

Value for money, comfortable ride and height/damper adjustments.... definitely the BC's.

Alternatively you could get some low km second hand ones via Yahoo Auctions for less than either.

Hopefully I will be installing some BC's tomorrow. I will let you guys know how it all goes. :)

Nice one, you won't be disappointed.

Aside from re-using the top shock mount on the rears, you might need a couple of washers/spacers on the lower shock mounts on the rear (they were too wide for my liking without crushing the mount excessively). Spring heights should be fine if they are updated, or made after Aug 09.

Getting the height you want is the most time consuming part.

BTW, the wheels came up great!

Cheers, Dale

Everyones been advising BC's over the non adjustable s-tune's

How much did you pay for the kit and where from spoolin?

I'm keen to get a set but looking at all the options of where and who for how much etc.

Don't get me wrong Keir, I love my S-Tune suspension and not a day goes by where I would even think of changing it for something else.

I am just saying that if I was looking now and was going to buy a new set, I would get the BC's purely due to their price point.

As it turns out, I bought my S-tune kit from Yahoo Auctions (seller stated they had under 10,000kms) so they cost me a fair bit less than the BC's.

You can get the BC's from JustJap

Well I put the BC's in today. All went great!

I got the height pretty perfect first go. I might raise the front by 1cm as it's sitting pretty low, but thought I would try it out for the next couple of days and see how it goes. I will take a picture tomorrow... Time to go drive it :starwars:

Daleo: where are the pics!!!!

Ive been thinking about the BC br-series for C34

probably eventually sell the bilstein shocks and stock spring setup for these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BC-Adjustable-Coilo...=item2309b73296

comments on ride, cornering performance etc ?

Hey Spoolin'!

I tried, honestly I tried. Having a few issues uploading photos lately, but on page 33 of the "What have you done to your Stagea today" thread, I posted a few pics. I've dropped it a bit since then, and it looks a bit nicer, rims tucked in juust enough.

Tangles, I have the BR's in mine, they're just fantastic, they should be paying me for advertising by now... At their softest they are as compliant or better as standard, at their hardest I would imagine it would be like driving a brick! Every click of adjustment (there are 30 steps) delivers a noticeable difference. Do it, you won't regret it.

    • It only looks tidy, as most of the stuff that was on the whole back wall, is now in the trailer to go to the tip, or has been shoved in my 2.2x2.4m "Spare parts room", and now I can't get to anything in there Ha ha ha I could definitely do with a bit more space, but I'd just end up with your problems I'm going to enclose the car port beside the garage, and move a lot of stuff into it I think. OR... It will be setup as a fabrication area, and the main garage will have parts storage in it. I'm not sure yet... Need some pictures of that big shed you've got with the bikes and Skyline in
    • No. I think it's gone. 😭 I think you can get body coloured ones on eBay so I think I'll get one of those... Or just hang a red ribbon from the hole and whack a TOW sticker next to it.
    • Can't say I've had a bad experience with one on my car, then again it only gets washed once or twice a year... The wheels on the other hand, get a good spray often due to my shitty dusty pads.
    • @MBS206 thats pretty neat and tidy to me!  I'll get a photo of mine when I'm out there next. It might require multiple photos to understand the scale of the atrocities though... In total I have 4 sheds of varying sizes and layouts. Main shed is 14x8, second shed is 3x8, third shed is 11x2.5, fourth shed is around 6x4.  All are pretty much full.   The main goal of my cleaning tsunami is to make the main shed predominantly car and motorbikes only. Second shed is my metal fab room (2 x bench grinders, drill press, bench belt sander, metal band saw, scrap metal storage and some of my garden tools.  3rd shed is more bigger garden stuff, storage for engine crane, jack stands, concrete grinder, concrete mixer, air compressor lives there, and it now has two 2mx2m pallet racking shelves with itemised boxes holding building stuff, electrical stuff, plumbing stuff, etc, etc.  The 4th shed is Ryobi electric ride on mower, mini boom sprayer, ancient Kubota tractor, more garden stuff!  I have got a lot of shit....  Then there's the pool house (8mx4m) and the pool pump shed (4mx4m).  I built all of the sheds over the 11 years we've been here.  The main shed was a Ranbuild kit, the rest are all custom made to fit the areas available. Building the main shed taught me a LOT as I had no idea about building anything prior to that!  I've still got one more in me. It will be my man cave which I poured the extra concrete for way back when I poured the concrete for the main shed. The idea is the Skyline will be a centre piece of the main cave once (if...) it's finished.  I told my now 14 year old son yesterday that I will 100% drive him to his year 10 formal in 2 years. Still a long way off but at least I now have a date to work towards! 🤣
