bullshit, everything is defectable. so should people stop supporting south australian motorsport?

did i tell you to stop supporting motorsport? did i make any mention to stop going out there? Dont think so, dont play dumb man, you know aswell as anyone else what cops look for these days, yes it sucks and yes its bullshit but what can you do about it? Exact reason i turned the r31 into a track only car, knew if i drove it on the road much longer i would end up getting pinged.

Anyway, back on topic, best battle for me was as someone else said, fine taking down his old team that f**ked him over, must have been one of the best feelings he has had on track!

Hahahaha!

Wow. Even on the train hey? I wouldnt know cos im always asleep!

Well I didnt see anyone from here... I was there on the Sunday. To be honest I prefer G1 over Supercup.

I got a free hat and stubbie holder from Federal Tires, no cold hands or head!

Luckily we took the SV6 wagon, we didnt even get stopped at the bretho/defect station.

In conclusion I had a good day... besides the wet ass

nice runs stewy, shame about the spin but dam you nailing those scando's into turn 1 now!

haha should have just stuck with the scandos, knew my handbrake was a POS as well, but thats the way it goes.

was a shame that open track was so short, was aiming at starting the scando from before the start line, my one and only attempt got me a few meters after it

lol the fact that id just been knocked out of the top 32 for making a stupid decision to go for a "conservative" run did not make me a happy boy.

as a bit of background to that, the reason i went conservative with that entry was because id never drifted on a wet track before, and i only got one run in the practice session in the morning as i got there late, i had nfi if my usual scandos would work in the wet, or whether id end up in the wall lol

turns out they were piss easy lol

Looking at the vid makes me regret not getting out there in the end. Was it windy out there also? How many SAU boys did we have out there, or was Stewy the only one?

Sounds like you had fun. Vid looks good. I'm sure your turn 1 spin would be me all over the track if I tried :D Again, pity I couldn't get out there for a look-see.

Of all the years I've tracked and raced (and the occasional drift) around Mallala on bikes, I've never done it in the wet. Just like you, not sure if I could do a wet track. Wet tracks scare the hell outta me. :D

windows movie maker?

depends what format it is. movie maker doesnt accept a lot of formats, u really need something like premiere or final cut.

btw for anyone that has access to a decent program, use H.264 compressor for internet shit, works a treat.

yeh dunno if i was lucky or unlucky that i never got a wet day, i hate drifting in the wet as its so slow and lazy, but it would have been good to have at least one praccy to get some experience with it before competition. but the time attack boys sure showed some balls going hard in their sessions, saw a few people get loose on the exit of 4.

    • yeah i agree paint match stops it from standing out so much, oh that's actually really good to know i was wondering if it would help with air flow now actually having an outlet in the bonnet. Will have to focus on ducting into and out of the radiator now to make the most of it.
    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps
    • Does anyone run this kit with factory plenum? Does the adapter and bosch tb fit under factory strut brace? I wanted to get this setup before going forward facing manifold. Thanks
    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
