Any one else experience this ? i have replaced them time after time and they keep destroying themself's. I have tried a nismo one and that broke too.

If i give it a hard time they break more often, usualy they last 2 months or so. I need to fix this problem. This is a street legally engineered car so i do not want solid mounts. has to be legal.

any ideas anyone?

The Skylines aren't like the old Holdens and Fords where if you have a broken mount the shifter very noticeably flings to the right and you see the back of the bonnet pop up.

I'm on my second set of engine mounts.

Its generally sticky tyres that breaks them as street tyres can rarely hook up well enough.

i can tell when mine is broken, the turbo hits the bonnet when it is and i get lots of shudder when the wheels are spinning. it broke at the track with sticky tyres last time i was there

hey had the same problem i fixed it the old school way bolted a piece of chain from the bottom mount bolt to the top mount bolt

Ive broken a few. But havent driven the car for a while so the last ones have lasted for ages. lol

the only thing i seem to break at the drags is power steering belts. the engine torques so much they snap.

Have you still got the metal " heat shield" in place over the mount?

Heat + torque = death.

I have broken 3 stockj (old) mounts, all had heat sheild in place, now have nismo mounts and havent cheke since, doestnt seem to be broken....

you need to set up torque stoppers. V8 stylez.
