mods please? you certainly couldn't have done it with only the power rating at the top of the screen, because i can't even get into the 40's with full mods but on street tyres (superlap challenge). i think when doing the superlap challenge i put on medium race tyres and pulled out a low 48 second lap on my first try. maybe tomoro night i might have another go (not going to be home tonight). sounds like a challenge though.

Full modded. Qualify tyres. Kept stock wing though. (Sif rice up a Nur :))

Don't know why the top says that, it always shows stock specs, no matter the car.

That lap I actually fked the last corner but rest of the lap was so good that it still broke into the 46s. CBF'd doing more laps lol.

Oh yea, stock controller :)

ten four, your tsukuba lap, was that using nos? last night i played around for a while, and even with the wing changed (to get downforce), but without nos, the best i could manage was a mid 47. i don't think the wing added too much too it though. also i haven't played the game in a looooooong time, so i'm pretty rusty. i was only able to manage 1 lap into the 47's and 2 or 3 into the 48's. most of my laps were in the 49's or 50's where i used to be able to get into the 50's on street tyres when i was doing the superlap challenge. once when doing that (which i posted in either this thread or the other one) i put on medium tyres and did a mid 48 lap first go without nos, and that was in a vspec, not a nur which was putting out about 70hp less than the nur

No nos no aids no tcs. I just got every corner perfect except for a slip up on the last one.

Basically I power in hard and powerslide out of the corners (trying to keep slide to minimum so as to not waste time). Also I use manual, if that helps?

Theres some guy on youtube with a 44.9 .... Those guys are nuts.

(Looks like he's played with the suspension and gear ratios..)

I want a G27..

yeah his lap was much cleaner than mine. he's pretty much a second up on me by the first time check. if i didn't use nos during the lap, but did before crossing the line to start the lap, and made how i took the last corner a way that gives the highest speed when i cross the line i could do better, but each of my laps that i do is just 1 quick lap after another, so the run i get onto the start straight isn't the ideal line to get a good start to the lap.

Ok i pulled this out again the other day to play with (god i'd missed it) so i'm up for the a challenge.

Lets set some rules tho, i see alot of times for alot of cars with alot of different mods.

Lets pick and agree on a stock/AM car, leave it unmodified (tuning allowed) set tires, track and driving mode (arcade time trial or turismo practise) and crack on.

ATM i dont know what car track or time i'm trying to beat.

Being SAU, i'd say GTR, any factory model or the mines on the ring.

well if it's the ring then count me out cause i just plain suck at it.

why not do it at a track that's a bit different, rather than one that everyone always races on. something like midfield raceway. it has high speed corners, long corners, long straights and the corner just before you go under the tunnel requires a bit of braking while turning.

as for cars, i'd like to go something that isn't a nissan for once. i actually have a soft spot for the au falcon v8 supercar. around tsukuba i'm quicker in it than a gtr.

yeah ok i'm happy to compromise and not to the ring, a shorter track will make life easier and the times tighter (hence more exciting) too.

I'm trying to find a map of all the gt4 tracks because i cant recall the layouts and names off the top of my head.

how about Fuji 05 GT

As for cars... ok... one request... whatever car we use must have nothing in common with a 1040's wily jeep

so no yank tanks.

ok we can do that track. i've never really raced on it as far as going all out, so should be a challenge. only races i've done on it have been ones that have been part of championships, so never taken a car around in my spare time unlike some of the other tracks.

so now it is just a case of picking a car. as much as i like the skylines, i'd really like to use something completely different since we are going out of the ordinary with the track.

how about something fwd or rwd rather than 4wd/awd. hell why not even pick 2 cars to use so we can have both a rwd and fwd challenge. something like a s15 for the rwd and a honda integra for the fwd.

also what will be the rules on mods, etc? fully modded but default settings? what tyres? sports, racing or normal, and any restrictions on compound? obviously no nos

actually, what would be good to try would be to use the nike car (if everyone still has it). that thing isn't too bad to drive, but i'm guessing no-one has really done much racing with it so we would all be on a level playing field. i've only done a few laps on 1 of the city courses to see how fast it goes.

    • Hi there, after a quick google search I found this topic as I am also relocating the battery to the boot of my 1998 GTT. I was just wondering how you got on with installing the re-routing and specifically the installing of the harness protectors? How do they attach? Are they just a simple "click-in" affair, or do they attach with bolts? Does the GTT have all the necessary fixing holes for them, for example, where they locate on the chassis? Any help you can provide would greatly appreciated.
    • Thanks mate, yeah I've heard that alot and i am definitely regretting using the 25 Loom now, i have gone through and traced all the plugs from the 20loom and re wired them into the 25 loom, I have currently got Crank, Fuel and accessory's working, just need to finalise the loom and run the wire for the Ignition (Spark) and it should be running, will update if i have any luck.
    • Cheers lad, when I head over there I'll give it a shot.
    • Stock less likely to carry one like that than urethane, but still can, especially if the bolts are not as tight as they should be. If it's making that much noise you should be able to use a hose as a stethoscope> stick one end in your ear, crouch down and wave it around the various possible noise makers and get someone to lift the front end at the guard lip.
    • Broken actuator rod. Could be one of a couple of them broken. Or, it's locked and the central locking actuator is broken/stuck or the actuator rods between it, the lock and the key barrel are jammed or broken similarly. You'll probably need a locksmith/mechanic who is experienced with using slim tools to reach down next to the window glass to manipulate the mechanism. That's assuming that it is not so severely jammed/broken that nothing useful will move.
