Hey,

Just letting you guys know we are opening up a new performance workshop. We will be specialising in performance modifications and fabrications, engine rebuilds, supply and fitting of body kits and general mechanical work.

We will be located at Stanbel Road Salisbury Plain.

For those of you that work long hours we are willing to work after hours to fit into your schedule. In order to get your cars back on the road and back to you as soon as possible to mimise any inconvenience.

We will be there setting up workshop as of Tuesday morning ready for business trade as Monday 11th May, 2009. We are looking at having a meet and greet/opening bbq soon. Dates to be confirmed.

For more details please contact Simon on 0413 595 838 or Ben on 0403 493 311. Landline to be notified shortly.

We look forward to dealing with you soon.

Cheers,

Ben and Simon

well that sounds super

before we go any further i highly suggest you read the >>SAU guidelines<< and contact the Trader Admin to find out what you need to do to keep your signature advertising your business

i wish you all the best in your endeavors in a very competitive trade but with the premise of opening at weird hours to suit your customer that will appeal to quiet a few i imagine

that's not Ben from Smooth Garage or Simon Michealmore ??

thats wicked...good to hear a garage being open at all sorts of wierd hours to cater for people that work the normal 9-5 hours...goodluck to all involved and hopefully see you guys soon....considering your up north

Any opening discounts? Say... a certain high percentage off the receipt? :P

Yeah we will be giving discount to random people at our meet and greet day.

Yeah Ben and i know how hard it is to get stuff done to your cars when your working long hours. We are also thinking about getting a car trailer so if your cruising around and brake down you can call us and we can come out and bring your car back to our workshop repair it and get it back on the road asap.

now that car trailer idea is a winner works on so many levels and im sure not just import drivers would use a service like that

yes been in the positon of having an unroadworthy car and just getting it to place's for tunes is hard so its also good for those of you with track only cars, and need work done, we can collect and drop the car off to you. Also we are working on all types of cars and not just imports :P

then it should be like $70 round trip i know flat top's to charge about that much

and remember its an inconvenience service

But they aren't a towing company, if they charge you a small fee for towing as long as its going to their workshop, then the cash is made in parts and labour, not dollars per k's.

    • @joshuaho96 Hmm considering the drama you've seen/experienced, have you looked into getting a built complete long motor shipped from Australia?  Considering the AUD is basically monopoly money when compared to the USD, at a glance this seems like a good option?

    • I mean the other day I had to walk someone through diagnosing why their timing belt was walking off the cam gears. At least one of the issues was a bent tensioner stud. Local mechanics have found runout on the CAS mechanism causing weird failures. I'm also no saint here I've documented some of the things I've had to learn the hard way. Something I discovered recently is that my CA emissions catalytic converters weren't even welded correctly to align the downpipe to the main cat and they tossed the support bracket that goes from the transfer case to the downpipe to support everything there. I spend a lot of time chasing down these decidedly unsexy problems and the net effect is it feels like I never actually get to the original objective (flex fuel, VCAM, oil control, cooling, etc).
    • At times with how you make everything sound, all I imagine Americans doing when they see a gtr is standing there looking at it and bashing it with a gun like how a caveman would with a club and hoping it fixes itself
