That would be a Nissan avenir wagon. They are smaller than the stagea, look more like a subaru wagon (in my opinion), and yes they are powered by an SR20DE(T).

Didn't think they were available for compliance/rego in australia though...

It's got number plates on it, so we can only assume it must be a personal import from a Japanese migrant or someone who'd lived there for a few years and brought it back with them, in which case it wouldn't need to go through the whole compliance process...
