whats with people have stretched tyres on their rims? Is it to save money or something? Ive always put the correct tyre on my rim,,, so it help protect the rims from scratches etc.

looks, performance, $$, the main reasons.

nice fitment, what offsets are they?

Oh it was originaly for a toyota supra i think it was like +47 or somthing and yeah i had to do some work on it i had the 60mm nismo long studs at the back to run 5 mm spacer cause the 17 inch rim hits the bottom arm over hard bumps and at the front i had to get 15 mm spacers so it would fit the brakes,

oh trying looking for 265/17/45 it was soo hard for me to look for some and it was too expensive and to get it took too long, soo i just bought some 255/17/45

tighter sidewalls from cheaper tyres, gives more response, very important when drifting.

I thought in another thread you said they (stretched tyres) are more likely to roll off and stuff?

/may have been someone else.

yeh they are, but not much, wouldnt even stress about it with mild stretch, it's when u go big stretch that it becomes an issue, and usually only any issue with deflation as there's no pressure to keep the tyres beaded. rarely do u see a inflated tyre rolling off, and those times it's usually something ridiculous like a 205 on a 11" or something lol
