I hear you,

Its interesting that in NT you dont need to have a car emission tested if you bolt on a bigger turbo, not sure about blowers - they probably work on the theory that if the car ran correctly measuring from an AFM then it wont change the emissions - just a shame that these ignorant selfimportant poor excuses for public servants dont wake up.

When I asked the guy who told me about the IM240 test if the applicable ADRs for modified vehicles were available for me to look at anywhere he told me that they were too indepth and I wouldnt be able to read them anyway - all that says to me is that he didnt have a clue how to read them.

I asked if there were any guides to modifying vehicles as NSW also sell comprehensive guides to making sure that suspension complies, with the idea being that it saves you time an money.

He told me to do the mods and then they will have a look at them - taxpayers money hard at work - I really hate totally unprofessional people - only in the public sector would an idiot like this be able to get away with it.

I do agree with you though 9krpm, why should we have to prove that the car complies with emissions - if they cant prove we are breaking the law, why punish us?

Hippy, your partner is a lawyer? Perhaps you could ask her to do some research into civil liberties, or ask her for pointers on where to look?
